I'm not having a very good Halloween this year. Normally Halloween's my favorite holidy but this year it sucks because it appears that since the Gay-Striaght Alliance issue came up at my high school everyone in the whole county's gone on some uber-Christian tangent and is not celebrating Halloween. :( Sucks.
Another thing is that my friend told me my boyfriend "PJ" was cheating on me, because he saw him with his arm around another girl's waist. Could explain why I haven't seen or heard from him in four days.
Well, I'm off to my room to write and listen to "Mr. Brightside" over and over and over again until my parents get sick of passign out candy or chasing my cats back into the house.
:(

So sorry, Pancake. Hey, in four years you can move somewhere they do celebrate Halloween on a regular basis. I recommend Greenwich Village in New York City. :D

I have no plans to ever go to New York City.
However, I may look at paying a visit to Salem Village... :p

Steal some candy and gorge until sickness sets in.
Chocolate sure helps my depression, especially around Halloween.

Meh, maybe I should lay off Mr. Brightside, that song's part of the reason why one of my stories is so crazy. :D

Fundies?
Yep. Fundies. They run the county.
I suppose their thinking style is that twelve-year-olds don't know of Halloween's pagan origins, so it's okay for kids 12 and under to run around as ghosties and skeletons and Frankensteins begging strangers for candy, but 13 year olds would know about Halloween's origins.... argghhh... :headbang:

Nevada Day? You mean Nevada became a state on this date however many years ago?
Speaking of Nevada.... does it have less fundies than North Carolina?

Do what I did: Had fun dressing up as an Emo, with several specific references to the Emo boy who broke (okay, lightly bruised) my heart. Not only did I get to mock him, I also got to turn my misery into something constructive. Tonight I'm going to surround myself with friends and candy. I'll send you some of my chocolate, if you'd like.

More along the lines of stopping kids who abuse the system.

There’s no reason to feel sad on account of this. Judging by his actions, that guy isn’t worth getting upset over.

The one year I went to a Lutheran school we were not allowed to dress up like "demons" i.e. witches, goblins, ghosts, skeletons, etc. It amounted to a whole bunch of pinky princesses and super heroes running around. In a word, lame.
I would have dressed up in an outfit that looked similar to a school uniform but with a black cape, broke a stick off a tree and yelled at everyone in Latin.
I know, witches, but hey, nice to scare Fundies ;)

I've been to Salem, years ago, it was very pretty. And don't blow off NYC, kiddo, it's a very, very, very cool place, trust me on this.
