NPR is my main news source. Then after hearing the day's news, I turn to The Daily Show to see how they rip it apart. It keeps me sane.

NS General! ;)
Or the local newspaper.

Mostly, anything but Fox News, home of the Moon Landing Hoax theory.

I admit I hear about a lot of things first on NS General and can follow it from there.

However, my main news sources are NPR and the voices in my head.

That last one is quite important.

The good ol' BBC.I agree with you, i find the BBC comprehensive as all get out as well as seemingly unbiased. I also like CTV,a Canadian Broadcaster.CBC, our national broadcaster is so lefty biased,it makes me sick.

I like their news from télé matin. (http://jt.france2.fr/8h/) The anchor is one sexy little bitch.

Certainly more attractive than the anchor from the evening news. Maybe I'll start watching this instead.

I use a combination of the internet, newspapers, magazines, and broadcast news. My family recently switched from CBS to NBC for the evening news. It has better reporting.

I watch FOX for entertainment value. Check up some online alternative media sites. BBC to top it. Newspapers too.

I guess I should answer, as well. I generally leave CNN on in the background when I'm doing schoolwork, and usually watch Lou Dobbs and Wolf Blitzer in the afternoons. I also watch the Daily Show and the Colbert Report religiously; best shows on TV, IMHO. Other than that, I read Time Magazine once a week and, as many others have said, watch Faux News for the entertainment value. Their desperate pandering to the GOP base this election season is especially delicious...

Cable news: mainly CNNj, MSNBC, occassional ABC and BBC broadcasts (usually broadcast at inopprotune times, hence occassional)

Public news: NHK news

"Fake" news: The Onion

Newspapers: IHT/Asahi Shimbun and the Daily Yomiuri here, (the former is an international newspaper owned by the NYT and affiliated with a local Japanese paper, the later is a Japanese paper). At home, the NYT, the WSJ, and whatever local newspapers I can get.

Magazines: the Economist, The Far Eastern Economic Review, occassionally Foreign Affairs and the Atlantic

Internet: Drudge Report (ABC and the Democrats know to pay attention to it (http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/story?id=2514276&page=1)), AP, Reuters, My Way, Yahoo, Salon, Strategypage, Mainichi Daily News, Kyodo, Wired News, Slashdot, etc.

Other: the grapevine - seriously, I call one of my friends the BIA (Bob Intelligence Agency) because he seems to be down right prescient at times when it comes to all the big breaking news stories...

I generally get my world news from Le Monde and the BBC. I get my domestic news from the Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, the Saginaw News, the Mount Pleasant Morning Sun (local paper), and Lansing State Journal. Before I was a student I had a subscription to the Economist, but I got rid of that due to financial concerns. However I did manage to hook a number of my Army buddies on the Economist before I got out.

I like their news from télé matin. (http://jt.france2.fr/8h/) The anchor is one sexy little bitch.

I watch 20 Heures, that's the one they broadcast in Aus. My favourite presenter is Béatrice Schönberg (http://jt.france2.fr/20h/IMG/arton7.jpg)

David Pujados (http://jt.france2.fr/20h/IMG/arton6.jpg) reminds me too much of George W Bush.

Most of my news I get from The Age (http://www.theage.com.au) newspaper or the ABC (http://www.abc.net.au/) (the Australian equivalent of the BBC).

First thing every morning I read CNN's website. Then I go over to the BBC's website. Then if there's something going on I need more perspective on I'll check Al-Jazeera's website.

Just wondering where ya'll get your news...

I try to get most of my news from Free Speech TV or from Znet and other related sites. I try to avoid mainstream news outlets because I already know what they're going to say.

Last year I got a lot of my news from Captain's Quarters:

There was some really important political news in Canada, but Canadian media had been prohibited from publishing it, so I had to rely on this one American blogger to keep me up to date.

Every day I listen to NPR in the morning, read the New York Post on the train home, and watch The Daily Show in the evening.

At work, I'll often check out BBC, MSNBC, and the Slovak Spectator or Novy Cas during lunch if I'm dining "Al Desko".
