As some of you may be aware, it is something of an NSG tradition for a Temple to periodically turn up. As it’s Halloween, I decided to start a haunted temple. The Elders of the forum (and semi-elders, like myself) can reminisce about the good ol’ days and poke the younguns with our walking sticks. We can all tell ghost stories about nations that sold their soul to He who Returneth and such. The Priesthood of the Temple can give praise and worship to the Mods in our ancient and honorable tradition.

Anyway, let the fun and spookiness begin!!

Stories of love, betrayal and fantastic bakeables.... there was also The Creatures of the Night club, where vampires and Werewolves came out to play... also here in general... there was the Volcano, a place to rival any chat threads to date and had a casual roleplaying following of its own, but my children they are all gone now... there is only fading memories to mark their passing...

btw... these are actual quotes from the list... I did change the names in case they are still here under different Nation Names and keeping within the rules. ;)

Sacrifice 1 - for spamming multiple regions, seized, stuffed into a small, empty can of spam, sealed inside, and thrown away by The Modified Democratic States of Cogitation.

Sacrifice 2 - repeated acts of flaming and spaming even after being deleted in Ireland in strange circumstances. Warned by half the Mods and even by [violet] in one case, Sacrifice knowingly continued on his rampage in an effort to correct their deletion decision. Also for rantings that fall well into realm of delusion, he may have succeeded in setting a record of some sort for having been booted 24 times in one night.

SACRIFICE LIVES ON - he did until his hiding place got found then he got toasted by Enodia.

Sacrifice 4 - yeah, right 55 posts that all say "This is not spam"

Sacrifice 5 - Smashed into pieces for Flaming the mods, hijacking threads with his region ads, and flaming anyone who tried to explain the rules to him

I feel almost like a lurker when I look at JuNii or someone like. Oh well. I suppose that I can offer the soul of Topnotch Toast, an RL buddy of mine who used to browse these forums... I don't think he'd mind. Ex-nation now, but that's really the best I can do.

The Temple, built as it was by gophers, is a long way away from any coastline, and also on a hill top. Also, we have anti-flood protection.
