Just got a call from my wife. My 3 yr old daughter decided to get sick and start spewing. No trick-or-treating for her this year. Now one of us gets to stay home and babysit while the other goes out w/ the boy.

get your other kid to use the sob story of his kid sister being sick to get more candy!

oh, and yeah, my clown makeup started burning so I took it off and I am broken out....:( I have to figure out how to cover up the rash and go to work anyway, sometimes being a clown sucks.

Poor girl...

Tho, now you can turn it around. say... a quick trip to the store and pick up some little treats (toys, etc...) on the way home, and while one is trick or treating outside, have the other do a Halloween hunt in the house. that way she can have some fun and enjoy her Halloween.

especially if you turn most/all the lights out and have her use the flashlight to find the treats... or use glow-in-the-dark stickers.

Good idea. Assuming she's feeling up to it, I'll give that a try.

even if she's not up to it, you can put the goodies in her halloween bag and leave it for her by her bed.

Yes, tell her The Great Pumpkin came by and left them for her. ;)

Got home from work and took the boy out trick or treating. The girl was in no condition to go out or even care about anything except emptying her stomach. All went well. We went to several friends houses, the local library (where grandma works) and then over to the local Univ. girls dorm for some door to door. He is a little chick magnet so he loved that attention.

Stopped at McDonalds for a happy meal, then home. The girl was feeling a little better and enjoyed the toy and a glow stick I gave her. They'll share the candy when she's feeling better.
