Well, in a desktop everything Core2Duo flavour beats everything AMD64 flavour, so I imagine the same is true of laptops. Of course, laptops are a bizzarre and arcane technology (almost as bad as printers) so you never know.

Here is what I THINK is gnome with compiz/xgl it is a good demo of the pair
Posi is also someone you want to corner on this ... we both have managed to do this ourselfs but him with a bit more ... ease :)

I have managed it on a single monitor I am still trying to get the dual head that I have to work properly
If I had a video camera I would show you all lol (that and if it were currently running ... it is down for ... upgrades)
I know Posi has managed to get it correctly configured as well

Core2Duo wins at pretty much anything. Turions are basically Athlons with better Cool'n'Quiet tech, they give CoreDuo a run for it's money but Core2Duo wins out in the end.
