He must be. After all, how could so many educated people (http://wbal.com/stories/articlefiles/49730-Barack%20Obama%20CURB.mp3) be wrong? I mean, hell, that last woman had a doctorate.

I vote we occupy Obama's homeland until the threat he poses to us -- both to America and to the rest of the country -- is neutralized. Now where's his homeland again? Iraq? Iran? I know it starts with an "I"...

I thought we can't invade the homelands of random people we don't like, unless those homelands have a majority Muslim population.

There's a sketch that new kid on SNL did a while ago that made fun of the "Jay-walking" style late night/comedy host shtick of asking people general knowledge questions and making fun of them getting it wrong (he was basically doing the same kind of mugging to people getting the right answers), which is all I can think of when I see or hear these now.

This is why I have so little faith in the popular vote. People vote based on appearences, personal prejudices, and propaganda. I wouldn't be surprised if less than 5% of voters even knew where the fuck the candidates stood on anything.

The Onion's horoscope for Leo on November 1st, 2000:

"Your carefully considered, issues-based presidential vote will be negated by a hairdresser who likes the other guy's ties."

So true...

EDIT: Speaking of which:

A textbook example would be Nixon getting owned in his first presidential run because his Make-up sucked. Look! Theres drops of liquid falling from his face! Clearly he doesn't have the ability to govern!

To quote Nietzsche: "I say it again, public opinions, private laziness."

Reminds me of the one somebody did recently, polling people on whether they could vote for a candidate who was openly heterosexual. Many people indignantly answered "Of course not!"
