Please vote on all the choices that apply to you,
Are you going to celebrate Halloween,
at a party at home, a friends house, work or other business,
are you going to dress up in a Costume, if so as what,
will there be Cash $ prizes or other prizes for the best Costumes,
are you going out to Trick or Treat?
I will go to a Halloween party at a bar and at work,
I will be a Zombie or Punk Rocker, with spiked hair,
Punk Rocker clothes, I will not Trick or Treat,
how about you?

I would have so put Trick or Treat but my parents put me on candy duty so that sucks. As soon as i'm out of the house I will go on trick or treating again

I am working on Halloween at a church clowning, but it's not a Halloween thing it's a fall carnival. After that I am going to a party that is not a halloween party but we are going dressed up, like me, because I don't have time to "de-clown".
In November I am going to a costume party but it has nothing to do with Halloween either.
I don't celebrate Halloween, so yeah, that's what I voted.

I'm going to a party, though whether it's a Hallowe'en party or not is debateable. I'm in charge of the music. Any reccommendations for 'spooky' songs are most welcome - but please, I'm only going to include a few stereotypical goth songs. Of course, I'm using the Monster Mash, and will probably have the Time Warp on it as well. And there'll be some Gary Numan on it as well, because my girlfriend is an obsessed fan.
There will be pumpkins and whatnot at this party, so I guess it does qualify...

Halloween is my favourite. I might go trick or treat if it doesn't rain but I am definately going to a swing dance costume ball. I wanted to dress as a slutty nun but instead I will be a doll.

I am working, I wear my clown outfit lots of days that I am not celebrating anything.
The party I am going to has to do with NaNoWriMo, not anything to do with Halloween.
The party in November is an annual thing and it also has nothing to do with halloween.

My costume this year:

I really wanted to be a Twi'ilek, but didn't have time to make a costume from scratch. Maybe next year. :(
its a waste of time and money

I love Halloween.
I had a Halloween parade gig last weekend, and also this weekend.
I wore costumes to work yesterday and today. (It's part of the cultural aspect of teaching English here in Japan.) Tuesday as well.
I'll be attending parties in costume tomorrow and on Halloween proper.
Yesterday was the lumberjack, today was zombie hockey player, tomorrow's the executioner, and Tuesdays the lumberjack again, soft for the little ones and then bloody for the party...

Various Andrew Gold songs - "Don't Scream (It's Only Halloween)" and "In Our Haunted House"
Oingo Boingo's "Dead Man's Party"
Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London"
Lot's of Misfits sttuff - "Halloween", "Night of the Living Dead", "Day of the Dead", etc., etc.
Ministry's "Everyday Is Halloween"
The Ramones' "Pet Sematary" ("Cretin Hop" and a few others as well might be fun)

I don't "celebrate" halloween so much as I am happy enough to participate in it. I'm making my daugher a spider costume, since that's what she asked to be. We'll go trick-or-treating with her, and then ration the candy, since she's too young to do it for herself. I've been asked to participate in a "Reformation Day" party that afternoon, but I don't think I have time this year. And there's a "Harvest Party" that weekend at my church, to which I doubt I'll make it this year much, due to a karate tournament I promised to help judge. I get a bit annoyed at the lack-of-living-in-reality exhibited by many Christians who get all up in arms about how evil halloween is.
To me, it's not real far apart from Christmas. Or the 4th of July. They're mostly cultural holidays. Some people try to stick other things on them, but really, they're cultural holidays. It's my culture, it's my holiday. Go find something REALLY wrong to complain about.
Hm... I'm not wearing a costume for halloween, but I won't be going as me. At least not directly... :D
To most halloween is just fun and games and a free sugar rush, but to a few halloween is PURE HELL!!! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-1aui-wluE)

Yay, it's Hell-oween again, that wonderful time of year where we teach our children that it's great fun to go out and hold people to ransom.
Yippee.
I plan on putting up some propaganda posters on halloween, I may be to busy to go to any parties. But we'll see. I also lack in a costume.
my fraternity is throwing its biggest party of the year!

tonight i'll finish up my kids costumes -- my daughter is going as a tiger, my son is going as an astronaut. i am soooo not a domestic diva, but i always make their costumes by hand. their dad will take them trick or treating, and i will dress up as something (probably the wicked witch of the west from wizard of oz -- it's easy, and take sadly little effort on my part to look just like her) to hand out candy at the house. the front porch gets decorated with various items, i line the walk and stairs with jack o' lanterns, i cover the windows of my house with posterboard with eyes cut into them, so the whole house looks like it has giant eyes glowing out from within, a fog machine will roll fog down the front yard (unless it's snowing, then i'll cut back on some of the exterior decorations)
generally, i get a few parents who say something snide, but 9 out of 10 say "wow" and the kids usually say pretty cool stuff. i've even had the fire department comment on how neat the house looks (they drive around and hand out pencils and stickers to the kids) i'm just sad it's on a weekday this year, because it will all end early.
yah, i get a little too into it.

No Halloween parties for me. It's really a non-event in Aus, hardly anyone even remembers that it is Halloween, it's not a holiday or anything. It's just not part of our culture.

My halloween starts tonight, around 10:00. I'm a pirate. College halloween parties are great. We're going trick-or-beer-ing around a dorm or two, followed by a few house parties. Tomorrow, party in my apartment. Sunday, zombie march '06. Monday, recovery. Tuesday, house parties with pregaming in class (I don't get out untill 7)

I'm not going to any parties or anything unless someone drags me to a club - but I'm definately doing something. it's one of the oldest and best holidays still celebrated with a fraction of its origional spirit. I'll probably leave offerings for the dead and their gaurdians at the cemetary. if not maybe just a simple ritual at home. this is the dying of the year and with every tree and leaf passing over, we're closer now to the dead than ever. perhaps not just on this one night, but it's as good a time to remember it as any. I'd ignore halloween if my culture did Dia de los Muertos - but we don't, so no. this is the best day for ancestor worshippers everywhere =)
the church things look like halloween, smell like halloween, and preclude participation *in* halloween - the *month* of november traditionally starts on this night, and in the origional name for it in most cultures it's the month of death. deny death and clown around in the midst of it all you want, but the origional religious significance of this holiday will be observed. no, I am not an obnoxious neo-pagan reconstructionist - but people still decorate with dancing skeletons on this holy day like they have for thousands of years - weither or not they're deliberately repeating it, they still are:
Remember man, you are but ashes - and unto ashes you shall return.
There's someone waiting at your window,
Familiar face without a name.
One night he'll creep in like the mist,
To touch your forehead with a kiss,
And lead you back into the void from whence you came.
We've all begun to die, and don't know what to do.
Since it hurts to pray to God, when God is dying too.
Takes strength to laugh, when you start to drown.
And we dance while the sky crashes down.
All that now breathes, and all that you love,
All that we weave, will find its way back to the dust.
A band of skeletons is playing,
Don't act like you don't know the tune.
Your part is echoed in the path,
Of every dead leaf blowing past,
Against a counterpoint reflected off the moon.
There is a banquet at the table,
Exotic cheeses wines and cakes.
And every one of us is damned,
Until we start to understand,
That living is to gorge ourselves at our own wakes.
When the stakes are high, best to play the clown.
And we dance while the sky crashes down.
that is the meaning of this holiday - and one that will be served even in rituals we don't even understand anymore.
I'm going to a local party as a sexy Sorceress. I have with a "crystal ball" at the that glows when you hit a button and a skimpy gold lame costume. :D
I don't know about candy but I'm hoping it might get me a little something that night. ;)

Considering that Halloween, as you call it, is Samhain for me (and the new year), I will definately be celebrating it. I will be celebrating both in the "traditional American" way of having Halloween parties, but also in the personal, religious ways of my path.
I'm celebrating it, and dressing up as a werewolf. I'm also going trick or treating, because I'm still young enough to.

Halloween? Nah, I would prefer going to a good old fashion Samhain party
Although I have never been to one I know somebody who has. From what I understand they're a real blast :)
I'll mark Smahain, but I'll also party. In TWEED. :D
