How good do you think you are at recognising puppets? are there any obvious ones? let's have some conspiracy theories...

I think a lot of the people who are commonly known as trolls are not, their just people with really unpopular(and usually false) opinions.

I think we just assume many posters are puppets. Like if we see an irrational blind Bush supporter then the poster has to be a puppet of MTAE. There could be no other possibility, right?

Its a lot easier to just accuse someone of trolling and ignore them, than to debate, and successfully refute their idiotic arguments.

I thought MTAE was someone's schism-puppet?

I haven't seen that proven though I have thought that it might be UN Abassadorship. Can't say for sure though.

i've become more and more certain it's Nalitiir testing out some of his more outrageous thoughts through a different mouthpiece. it's the tone and language used, along with the fact that MTAE often apologises for voicing such strong opinions and New Nalitiirs frequent agreement at significant points in the debates. and the coincdence of activity/inactivity.

I have figured it out to be that a lot here on NSG have already decided that they're right and the minority who disagree and make their case are called "trolls" or "puppets" I don't feel that that is right because we all have our right to disagree. We all have our right to our own beliefs (popular or unpopular). Just because we disagree does NOT mean that we are either a "troll" or "puppet". To me that's just childs play. People need to grow up and realize that people will disagree until the last man dies.

It isn't so much the point of view, but more how they voice it. For example, anyone can make an inane remark and defend it. Those who do not truly believe it will often ignore peoples criticism of it, not really make any new points during a debate, fail to back the points they have made, etc.

They also consistantly make comments that are clearly designed to get a specific response

the main reason i made this thread was cuz i've recently made a couple of puppets, just for shits and giggles, and i was curious as to whether anyone could have guessed. i couldn't help myself leaving some hints as well.

Nope. I don't think that New Nalitiirs = MTAE. I do believe that MTAE was RealAmerica, and before that possibly the BarryGoldwater/USalpenStock duo.

Also I think Corny is hiding here somewhere and someone suggested that it was Daemonocracy, but I am not too sure about that.

Besides Daemonocracy posts lots of links, something that Corny rarely does.

USAlpenstock pretty much disappeared after this thread (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=494086)as did BarryGoldwater (about a 100 posts later).

Shortly after, Alleghany County disappeared. I kinda thought that Alleghany County was Corny or a friend of Corny's.

I had a puppet once. People thought he was somebody else, and then he god banned. :(

After I lost Dobbstown, I made a bunch of Dobbstowns - Upper Dobbstown, Old Dobbstown, Lesser Dobbstown, etc. - but I lost interest in them after I made Dobbsworld.

I've always clearly identified who I am, whatever the puppet.

plus, from my talking with Daemon, he's from CT...and knows a decent amount about the state (more than would be found in your basic research)

I thought MTAE was someone's schism-puppet? Correct. I did up a big investigation-thread but it got deleted. Basically all of the evidence points to MTAE being the reincarnation of Naliitr, initially as a troll-puppet, but increasingly as his main posting account (He rarely posts with New Naliitr anymore).

There is no Mod conspiracy. And I am not involved in it, nor are my puppets. I mostly use them for purposes of harmless entertainment.
