Now here's a flash mob I can get cozy with. Video the Vote is a volunteer movement designed to document general elections across the country, capturing instances of fraud, intimidation, long lines, and other problems on video for the world to see. The theory is that, with pervasive citizen vigilance, election accuracy will improve and infractions will be more faithfully investigated.

Do you think this project can succeed? Can merely documenting an election improve its accuracy? Or is it all bunk? Would you ever consider joining such a group? Etc., etc.

I think it's great. Just like slime and mold and such, corruption withers in the light of day.

People might be put off voting if there were cameras.

I don't think they want to video inside the voting booth, just the general environs of the polling places.

Yeah, I know I would feel a bit uncomfortable if I went to vote and there were people with camcorders hanging around...

On the other hand, something needs to be done. I give it to them for trying to fix the system.
