Upon consultation with my esteemed colleague Bumboat from the FSE party we realize that our respective parties have an objective in common.
The freedom to be nude without fear of arrest for exposure!

I hereby then propose a law stating that nudity is legal and optional except where hygiene would demand otherwise.

I dont think you can use me, but if it helps- I've never found anything overtly appaling about public nudity. That is is ever a disgrace is the sign of a society that is taking itself far too seriously.

Thats not to say that they shouldnt be allowed to, but it can be quite unpleasant, and you'll just get people doing it to annoy other people... i have a freind who would undoubtedly abuse this, if the nudity bill ever got passed i'd just have to kill him...

It was an extremely directed question inviting an affirmative answer.

I'm not a member of the United Nations because I'd rather my nation be subjected only to what I force upon them. :cool: If you were looking for any "supposing this were reality" answers, I still wouldn't support it. Aside from serious health concerns, imagine how it would affect sexual harrassment/assault. From both extremes, you'd have individuals claiming their genitals winding up in someone's face was an accidental byproduct of the moving subway and other individuals who'd interpret that genuinely accidental brush of flesh was an attempt at rape and take it to court.

I'd fully support the bill. I never understood how there could be laws forcing people to wear clothes.... pointless, in my opinion.

As for the argument about fat people : Look the other way if you don't want to see it. There are far worse things individuals are exposed to day by day in society that are far more difficult to avoid. Get over it.

I agree with this but I would like to see some restrictions. Maybe if people were only allowed to be nakked in public when they are in gardens or parks. While I would not be bothered at seeing people without clothes, I do not want to be in crowed places such as on a bus with fully nakked people.

Simple, make that part of the law. A fine or having to clean benches or seats for a hour.

If that is all the bill is going to state, I can’t support it. In public definitely, but in private establishments, I believe the owner should be allowed to set standards.

Better add a little footnote onto that bill about the great increase in skin cancer and/or painfull burning. Most people will not realize the need to put on sunscreen for themselves.

While I dont think nudity is obscene (the fear society has of the human body is ridiculous), I really dont want to see unattractive people naked. or men. Ideally just women aged 16 to 30, who arent overweight. Itl need regulating. Its a dirty job but someones got to do it.

Voted. And for my two cents: as I see it, it all comes down to personal freedom. Indecency laws are outmoded. I, personally, would not go nude in public (no one wants to see this body, believe me), but who am I to tell anyone else not to?

I say, good sahs, call this reply overly simple, but as long as hygiene isn't at stake it's just a part of freedom, isn't it? Like being able to drink tea without jumped frogs trying to convince you that wine is better with muskets and so on.
