Farwell my love...

Well my friends and fellow NSers, its time that I bid farewell to this place for good. The call of the real world is too strong for me to resist anymore.

Actually, I have come to a decision these past few weeks, and it is a life altering one. When I say life altering, I mean literally, my life will be changed completely. You see, I am currently in the process of planning out a missionary trip for myself. I might have said something about it earlier this year. Anyways, God is calling me to the middle east, where there are the fewest amount of missionaries. Now I am not going over there to shove Christianity down the throats of people or anything. I am going to go as a peace envoy, trying to make a reconciliation between the Moslems, Christians, and Jews. I hope that Christ's love can be seen through my attempt of making peace between people. If someone over there wants to know why I care so much, then I'll tell them about my experiences as a Christian, and why I believe the way I do.

As I leave now I just want to say bye to some of my closest pals on here:
Ruffy- You are crazy man. You keep cool and make sure you get drunk for me once in awhile ;)
Ginnoria- Well lover, Ill miss messing around with ya. Make sure you get out more and hang with them ladies
WC- :fluffle: you're such a cool chick :)
TBD- You're still cute as hell :)
Gabbly people- haha have fun with that
and to everyone else I might have forgotten :fluffle: :fluffle: :fluffle:

I hope I could have been a good person to everyone, if not, I am sorry :(.

Well Peace out everyone,
Thomas aka Zilam

ps. make sure to look for me on the news in the future. I'm sure I'll end up at the end of a sword at some point over there.

-edit- Finally got 5000!!!

Damn religious conciliatory folks, trying to ruin my career prospects...

*grumbles*

But seriously, best of luck. I'd be a hobo if it meant that the middle east could become happy, peaceful, free and prosperous.

Why is it a silly reason? I mean I doubt he'll bring peace, but at least he's trying.

You weren't kidding about the life altering, eh? Just do your best to make sure it's not altered in a seriously negative way. Remember that god helps those who help themselves. Congratulations on having that kind of conviction. Try to hang around long enough to pass some of it on. Good luck.

Attempting to bring peace isn't silly. Attempting to preach faith is.

Well my friends and fellow NSers, its time that I bid farewell to this place for good. The call of the real world is too strong for me to resist anymore.

:eek:

I come back after my yearly life crisis with my 2 days of doing nothing but sitting in bed, not going to school, and wondering if there are any painkillers in the medicine cabinet.. and YOU LEAVE?

You have made me want to get back in bed and not go to school, like I was planning.

As I leave now I just want to say bye to some of my closest pals on here:
Ruffy- You are crazy man. You keep cool and make sure you get drunk for me once in awhile ;)

Babe, for however long you'll be gone, every ounce of alcohol I drink, is a salute to you.

*looks around*

:fluffle:

Yeah, this right here goes out
to everyone who's lost someone
that they truly loved....
Check it out....

Every breath you take
And every move you make
Every bond you break
Every step you take
I'll be watching you

Every single day
And every word you say
Every game you play
Every night you stay
I'll be watching you

It's kinda hard wit you not around
Know you in Heaven smilin' down
Watching us while we pray for you
Everyday we pray for you
Till the day we meet again
In my heart is where I keep you friend
Memories give me the strength I need to proceed
Strength I need to believe
My thoughts, Big, I just can't define
Wish I could turn back the hands of time
Us and the six shop for new clothes and kicks
You and me takin' flics
Makin' hits, stages they receive you on
Still can't believe you're gone
Give anything to hear half your breath
I know you still livin' your life after death

Every step I take
Every move I make
Every single day
Everytime I pray
I'll be missing you
(I'll be missing you)

Thinking of the day
When you went away
What a life to take
What a bond to break
I'll be missing you

Oh can't you see
You belong to me?
How my poor heart aches
With every step you take.

Somebody tell me why...

One black morning
When this life is over
I know, I'll see your face

Every step I take
Every move I make
Every single day
Everytime I pray
I'll be missing you...

We miss you

I'll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
All day through.

In that small cafe;
The park across the way;
The children's carousel;
The chestnut trees;
The wishin' well.

I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day;
In every thing that's light and gay.
I'll always think of you that way.

I'll find you
In the morning sun
And when the night is new.
I'll be looking at the moon,
But I'll be seeing you.

I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day;
In every thing that's light and gay.
I'll always think of you that way.

I'll find you
In the morning sun
And when the night is new.
I'll be looking at the moon,
But I'll be seeing you.

This is exactly the wrong attitude to be heading out there with. What should be a hardworking, nitty-gritty, pragmatic problem solving effort is turned into some mushy exemplar of just how cloyingly self-sacrificing and sweet Christians can be. It's like your'e going out there with the express purpose of being taken at gunpont, when you really have the opportunity to contribute to the economy and education of some people that really do suffer.
What did the recruitment flyer from your chruch say? "Everything You ever Wanted To Know About Being A Martyr But Were Afraid To Ask"?
For fuck's sake man, people in the middle east don't want some namby pamby American "making peace" between the religions. If you really want to make a difference, keep your religion to yourself and get to work with an NGO or something. Fact-finders, educators, investors, and workers are needed - more religious rhetoric is the last thing that region wants.

But anyway, about you leaving the forum, I've enjoyed your perspectives in the past, and I'll be sorry for the loss. You've made some wacko ideas a bit more approachable (if not understandable) to me.
