Coffee... Coffee... Coffee... Coffee...

So, when you need that "fix", where do you go?

I personally prefer Timothy's, though Tim Hortens does the job. Starbucks is way too strong for my liking and Second Cup is only good for Cider.

EDIT: I added a poll.

I rarely drink coffee of any kind, but on rare occasions when I do, it's almost always iced. I like Dunkin' Donuts' iced latte. *nod*

I brew my own. Dunkin is the first place I would go, followed by someplace with Green Mountain (7/11, gas stations), followed by Starbucks. You have no idea how weird of a look you get when you walk into starbucks and say "I'll have a large black coffee". They just don't get it.

A local coffee joint...Brewed Awakenings. I don't go often, but Fridays are always fun because they have live music.

They have this drink called a Black Hole, which is some mysterious yet delicious blend of coffee, caramel, whipped cream and chocolate. Last time I got one it was completely gone inside of 3 minutes. :D

And...website!

Yeah, same here. I remember Wawa from my days as a young'un in South Jersey, then moved to West Virginia. No Wawa there. When I moved to B-more, I was psyched to see Wawa again. Now that I'm up in New England, no Wawa, though -- only Sleven and Cumby's. :(

Because it's named after the Leni Lenape Indian word for goose. One Wawa coffee includes 100% of the US RDA of goose.

BECAUSE I AM ADDICTED!!

NO kidding.

I worked there, and honestly... I think that those little packets that we pour the coffee grounds out of had a hidden element that makes the coffee, no matter how bad it tastes, addictive.

I swear, there is this one place on the 401 where the coffee is aweful, but you have to stop there anyway because it's the last TH for a hell of a long time! :( (That area near Brockville).

Then there are places that have really GOOD coffee... TH is just so inconsistant.

I don't know, I've seen restaurants that serve poutine with a cheeseburger. I guess the difference is that in Ontario you burn all that fat just trying to stay warm in winter. ;)

They all just assume that everyone drinks coffee but this forum has proven that factor is wrong! So at that does anyone have a good idea where I could meet a new client that most likely doesn’t drink coffee because of the fact they are hardcore Mormons?

Starbucks ala my kitchen coffee maker in the morning, my mid-morning cuppa is currently Nescafe w/ hot chocolate mixed in (I love coffee, but I don't like the bitter taste so I need lots of sweetner), and anything beyond that is usually done at some semi-local kisaten (Red or Marumo, which is the 2nd best coffee house I've been to, and the oldest in Japan).

For a tea drinking culture, Japan sure loves the idea of coffee houses and you can usually find some good ones in any city you go to.

there's these old converted police boxes in edinburgh that serve awesome coffee, i think it's the 'california coffee company' or something, but it's quite expensive, about 2 pounds a pop depending on what you have. much better value is Aroma coffee house on south bridge, they use 'Bei & Nannini' (or something) coffee which is just fine (a little weak for my taste) and it's only a pound for a large anything to go.

Making a stab in the dark here, but I'd guess it's from Chinese. 'Char' is a fairly decent approximation of the Cantonese word for 'Tea'.
And considering where the Brits got most of their tea from, which came through their protectorate, Hong Kong (a Cantonese-speaking region), I don't think it's too far-fetched a theory.
