Unfortunately, I'm a displaced Texan. Otherwise, I'd be glad to.

Hahahaha. This guy sounds more like an everyman than a politician. He's the kind of person we need to put into political offices everywhere. I'd vote for him.

But then, I live in Colorado.

I would if I live in Texas.

one time this independent delegate running in my home town (not in texas, sadly) was named Diablo deFrappuccino. Not really. His name was Diallo Dephrepaulez. It was that kind of spelling. Anyway, he was pretty awesome. He lost. But he is so young, still so full of potential. I think he'll do better next time. He was losing on both sides of the spectrum to a fat old lady. Man, she does a crappy job.

If I live in Texas, I would vote for him just to hear the word Kinky over and over in the news. :D

Today, Kinky introduced the gay marriage billl.....

hehe, that has unlimited comedy potential.

Oooho, yes.

Speaking of Independents, I'd vote for the one running for governer of Colorado if it weren't for three things:

1. Right now, he hasn't a chance in hell.

2. I fucking HATE Bob Beuprez, the Republican candidate.

3. I actually LIKE Bill Ritter, the Democratic candidate.

So I'm voting Ritter.

I tend to vote for whose the better candidate than whose the kinkiest. ;)

If I were a Texan, I probably would. However I am not and the question is moot.

Ditto that here. And in my current state of official residence for voting purposes (Iowa), I'm in the wrongf district to vote for the pirate guy. :(

And here we observe the downside of the "winner takes all" aspect of the US voting system. A vote for your favourite candidate will be a wasted vote, so you do not vote for him :(

Yeah, tell me about it.

But I'm more willing to tackle the problem of the Dems and Repubs first. THEN we see about eliminating the first past the post system, which will be even harder, if you can believe it.

Originally I was totally pro Kinky, but now I'm leaning towards Bell. Kinky would be a very amusing Governor and I like some of his ideas, but I have some issues.

He's told a lot of different things to a lot of different people that conflict with each other (especially in radio interviews). In the debate he didn't do so well in the one-on-one portion when he was confronted with the lack of accuracy of many of the facts he gives out.

The "why the hell not?" and "how hard could it be?" slogans won me over.

More interestingly, however, who's voting for porn star Mary Carey in California?

Oh, California.

I'm voting Angelides, but not because I like him, just because I don't like the goobernator.

If they had a chance of winning, I'd probably vote for the green candidate.
