Which is your favorite NPR program, and why?

I love the "Diane Rehm Show", especially the Friday News Roundup. She asks pretty tough questions and calls out her guests if they start making things up.

Also a fan of "Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me." :D

It's not an official NPR program per se but it practically is

I also really enjoy what might be the tiniest ongoing regular program my local NPR station broadcasts

You could very easily be right. Im completely unsure about how and what each staion subscribes to when they join the public radio stations. I know there are differences but Im unsure what the differences are.

I enjoy listening to Car Talk, as it is one of the few NPR shows which is not plagued by rampant bias.

There was a show produced in Seattle called Rewind that I absolutely adored, but I don't think it's on any more... :(

I have my alarm on NPR and I usually wake up to Stardate. I think "ooh! I have to remember that Mars and Venus will be closest to the moon tonight!" and then I forget to go out at night and see.

Car talk is by far the most entertaining, but the d. rehm show is probably the most intelligent, most of the time.

This american life and studio 360 can also be very interesting, and i listen to npr every time im driving, regardless.

How is it Prarie Home Companion didn't make the list. It may not be exactly an NPR broadcast, but it's on lots of NPR stations, and I've never heard it on anything else... plus, it's the best show by far on NPR... some others are great, but nothing quite compares.

I've listened to it a couple of times, but it never made me laugh out loud...that's the qualifier for a good entertainment program.

Cartalk and Wait Wait usually make me bust a gut.

I love Diane Rehm. In my opinion, she gives the most unbiased interviews even though you can tell what her own opinions are.
