So where should I go?

I have heard repeatedly that if things continue to go downhill here in the United States that people should consider relocating to other countries. So if that time arrives and now I must choose a new place to live, what country has the most freedoms, or just the best country to live overall? I hear Canada, Britain, etc., but I wouldn't mind hearing why exactly that is. What laws make you free, that would equal to that of the U.S.? It would certainly help should the worst happen.

Perhaps Cuba would be a good choice for you. Let's see how long you'll be a leftist after being shut in a communist hell-hole. It would change your political outlook for the better, methinks.

Thats why I'm a Democratic Communist. And Cuba had a good thing going until Che Guevara fell in love with war and became evil, and Castro became paranoid of assassination.

You tore a hole in the space-time continum and are in three places at once? Or you chopped your body into pieces and sent them to different countries?

Redback, Funnel-Web, Blue-ringed octopus
Taipan, Tigersnake and a Box jellyfish
Stonefish and the poison thing that lives in a shell
That spikes you when you pick it up

Come to Australia
You might accidentally get killed

Your life's constantly under threat
Have you been bitten yet?
You've only got three minutes left
Before a massive coronary breakdown

Redback, Funnel-Web, Blue-ringed octopus
Tiapan, Tigersnake and a Box jellyfish
Big shark just waiting for you to go swimming
At Bondi Beach

Come to Australia
You might accidentally get killed
Your blood is bound to be spilled
With fear your pants will be filled
Because you might accidentally get killed

That doesn't help! I need to know where all Americans who would still be sane should flee to! Those who don't have the balls can instead get their butts sent to secret prisons when they complain to the american regime about their rights.

I would go to either Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Yeman, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, or France.

Why?

Because French is my second language and Arabic is my third. I'll go to a place where I don't have to learn the language when I get there, but a place OTHER than Britian, Canada, or some other English speaking country.

We have the best economy in the world. Think about that before you go anywhere.

If you don't like America, work to change what you don't like. Anyone can run away to Canada.

On second hand, If you are too lazy to get off your ass to change anything, maybe you should leave America. We don't need people like that.

I suppose I could get myself a gun and work to overthrow the oppressive government...

But then I wouldn't get an answer as to what country would be good to move to. Supposively there are choices out there that have the same freedoms that we do. The freedoms we have at the moment anway.

Don't come to Canada to escape America. Canadians are becoming steadily more conservative, and are adopting many American models. Ironically, as more Americans seem to be becoming interested in public health care in the Canadian style, Canadians are interested in privatizing health care.

Every country has its problems, but if you don't like America's, Canada is not much different anymore.

geez every place has its stupid politics.

this is easy.

you dont want to go to europe, they speak other languages and have customs that will annoy you.

you dont want to go to asia

you dont want to go to latin america

you dont want to go to the british isles. have you noticed that tony blair is george bush's bitch? how do you think he got to be PM? irelands a possibility but it does have strong conservative streak.

your choices are...

canada (too cold)

australia (too hot, but you could go to southern australia)

new zealand (best choice especially if you are an outdoor enthusiast)

aruba (best island in the carribean to move to. low crime, good economy, friendly people)

honestly, if one of these 4 isnt good enough for you, no place is.

those reasons are particular to the person involved. once you realize that the list of countries you might ever want to move to is very short. you do some elementary research

1) can you get in? no sense planning to move to france if they dont take many americans. for the most part, to immigrate to any other country you have to have one of 2 things. MONEY and lots of it, or specialized skills that are desired by the country you have decided on. for example, if someone wants to move to the US, all they have to do is get a nursing degree.

2) is it a good place to live? that requires that you visit the countries on your list (which is down to 4). if you live in the northern US, you drive up to canada and look around. personally i love canada. the only thing i have against it is that its COLD. you might feel differently. no way to know until you go see for yourself

if you live in the south eastern us, take a trip to aruba. great place to live but its a fucking ISLAND. the closest big city is in venezuela. you wouldnt get back to the US but once a year or every other year. you dont know until you see for yourself

if one of those 2 easy to get to places arent good enough for you, you take a trip to australia. great place but very expensive to visit friends and family back in the US. same with new zealand. the quality of life is great but it still might not be your cup of tea. gotta go see for yourself.

once you sit around the pub talking politics, youll find that every place you visit has stupid laws and conservative trends. the good part about the 4 i listed is that they arent really world players so you dont get the same foreign policy disasters that we get in the US. they still have some stupid policies but it seldom gets hundreds of thousands of people killed.

We have the best economy in the world.

Is that the best reason you can think of? It's not even a very good reason, all it means is that the people richer than you are slightly richer than they would be in another country.

In fact, its probably a good reason to leave, if you live within a good economy its more likely that the wealth you bring with you will go further than at home.

If I had to recommend a country for you guys, I'd say the Netherlands... or maybe you could emigrate to Norway, just to piss of Ny Nordland.

This is worse then King Bodacious's example. It may look nicer, more well put and better explained. However it's complete biased bullshit, being very manipulative. They are using propagander by trying justify hatred towards the USA based on Americas past mistakes, whilst either over exagerating them or changing their intentions behind the act. Using terms like "ethnic clensing of the palastinians" for example.
