0-10 Child, ambitious but naive
11-13 The Invader Zim Phase, more acheivement, still naive, changes in clothing habits to wearing mostly black
14-present(16) The Phantom of the Opera period (which will probably last for much longer than the Invader Zim phase), even more acheivement, still naive, although not as naive as in the first two stages. Still wearing mostly black, although is beginning to conquer more fears and identify still more fears.

I hate the way you get to the end of the academic process and you're just tossed out, with no help or advice as to what to do next. University Careers Centres are quite possibly the biggest waste of time on the planet.

(1-10) Innocent Johnny

Can anybody else do that?
1-6 "The Dark Ages", a period of time of which I have completely forgotten, the memories of which exist solely in others, and I have yet to find any complete(or even partial) memories of this period.
6-8: Ignorant Bliss. Life was simple, life was effective. Life was happy.
8-12: Trial by divorce. My parents were divorced(For actually a few years before this), and my family, for many years, went through many hardships, both physical and emotional(Not sure if some have healed yet) due to a near 5 year long custody battle.
12-14 Age of Societal Embrace. Period of time in which I cared only to fit in and become accepted.
14-16: Age of Social Disagreement. Period of time in which I wished to "enlighten" the masses, and spread knowledge, in hopes of creating a "perfect" society.
16-18: Age of Optimism. Hopes and dreams filled my head, exagerrating points to absolute signifigance, and hoping the world would soon change for the better.
18-Present(20): Age of Reason/Pessimism. I have now realized the true ignorance and uncaring of the masses, and realize why the system must be so, much to my own dismay.

15-18: A steadily improving, but still jackassy type, who let himself be completely fooled by a false love.
18-19: Maturation into a true adult, with much more consideration, honesty, and respect for others. Actually makes friends.
19--: Currently still SLIGHTLY a jackass, but for the most part a really great person to be around, finally.

Darknovae made the unfortunate mistake in her early days of creating a poll that let us decide what she was: Male, female or pancake.
NSG, being the kind of place it was, declared her to be a pancake.
I voted pancake. Partly out of my desire to have a pretext to cover someone with maple syrup.

Nah, I want a job I'll be happy in. I'd rather screw my life up waiting for a job that I like (and I've found a lot, just they've never wanted to employ me) than screw my life up by getting a job I hate. I keep getting told that I shouldn't be so picky...usually by people who are in jobs that they hate.

I keep getting told that I shouldn't be so picky...usually by people who are in jobs that they hate.
Well, when I say crappy job I was thinking more of just general shopkeeping type stuff, bar work, waiting, etc. Something that will give you money, get you out the house and give you the freedom to still look for proper work.
The longer you're not doing anything, the harder it becomes to find something. That's what I meant by the 'JobCentre trap' - if you do get interviews, you're always on edge for that killer question: "so, what is it you've been doing for the last x months?"
The JobCentre is useless for people like us - it's not really designed for graduates. The people in them only know how to deal with people who are either a) wanting to do anything that pays minimum wage b) are never going to get a job and are just stringing the system along for their benefit 'pay'. You sound a lot like me from this time last year, and all I can say is honestly, don't get stuck in the rot.
Doing something will always be better for you in the long term than doing nothing, if for no other reason than the fact that employers will want to know you've not just been sitting around waiting for a job to come up - that shows that you potentially won't stick with anything that doesn't interest you.
