What did I carve, you ask? Well, if you can't tell from the horribly grainy cameraphone picture I've hastily pasted up, it's a pumpkin. Yes, I carved a picture of a pumpkin into my pumpkin. Nothin better than ironic redundancy...
Anybody else going to take a whack at the pulpy arts?

We'll at least get a pumpkin... carving it will probably be the task of my husband, who won a pumpkin carving contest in college.
I'm no good at art. Despite my immensely amazing visual imagination, my artistic abilities are...pathetic.

Ah yes, pumpkin carving time. I guess I'm going to have to start brainstorming on faces with my son. I love carving pumpkins, but I hate scooping out the seeds. Plus, I can never bake the seeds right afterwards.

I'm thinking it's more along the lines of:

Simple. To the point.
I don't know. Maybe "Stewed Dude" would be good. I make him into Christmas bulbs on Christmas, and easter eggs on Easter. Might as well make it a Haloween thing as well.

It's a bit early, Rhaomi. That thing will be smelly pulp by all-hallows eve.
But I'm going to make one closer to the time, because its really fun to do. I don't go in for all this argument that says following certain holidays erodes culture or whatever. I'll celebrate whatever I think it'll be fun to celebrate, case in point, I'm going out for a Divali meal tomorrow.
