Well, there was me and Eutrusca... I'd say the best we've ever managed is sustained periods of detente. The rest of the time, well -

Let's hear 'em! I didn't specify to either RP or NSG, so either way is cool.

I think the ongoing war between NSers and Reality is somewhat notable as one of the longest running and most vicious feuds.

NS is winning.

The DEN - TITO war back in 2004. It actually culminated in the deletion of the 10000 Islands founder (Grub), deletion of the DEN founder (General Powell) and the first invasion ever by TITO of a region (the original operations base of the raider organization, region DEN.)

Quite a few mods involved in that one as well.

A great rivalry to be sure.
Second only to NSers and whatever server they happen to be crashing at the time.

One comes to mind (roleplaying-wise)

The Corperate Alliance and the World Soviet Party.

Reality would imply otherwise, and so the conflict continues.

i can't think of any rivalrys besides invaders and defenders which is as old as the NS World itself

Czardas and Tink were great. Mainly because Tink never really did anything, it was her male fans(myself included) that defended her to Czardas.

None for me, thank you very much. I get firey, but I also get funny. I'm a tempermental little bugger. And I can't stay angry for long.

There was TUNA vs. everybody, those were good. As were Fass vs. anybody who disagreed with him. His sarcasm killed many innocent bystanders.

We are good friends and it is more of a joke rivialry as I constantly try and find a way to kick their asses. Still....looking for a way to kick their asses so perfectly I can finally gloat so much they will flee into a dark tiny corner.

Well, there was Jesussaves vs. The World. Not sure how many remember those days, but it was quite the heated debates and flamefests when he was around. Where has he gone to? Nobody knows. Some say he's burning in hell, others say he was banned.

Me? I think MTAE may be Jesusaves reincarnated. So, the fight must continue.

Kinda like in Rocky II when Rocky fights Apollo Creed. Only, in this case, "Apollo"(AKA Jesussaves) was beat in the first bout, and never became the good guy. :D

There was a Layarteb vs. DA/Kahta but who didn't have a rivalry with them. More recently there has been Layarteb vs. Pushka.

You should have been here during the summer, when Israel had the war with Hezbollah. You couldn't log onto NS without getting punched in the eye.

As for what I've actually been doing... I've been hanging out mainly in International Incidents, the region Haven, and the IRC channels #nationstates_general and #draftroom. And at school and work. I now have what we like to call a life (TM) so even there my presence is not so ubiquitous as it once was.

Well, my last one was Seangolio. That was between somewhere around October of last year to about April or so of this year.

There were two intermediate ones which I don't remember at all, didn't use them for long enough, and were to complex to remember.

My first was Seangolia, which ran sometime in(methinks) early 04 to sometime in 05.

Man, I miss Seangolia. I actually had made my own "country" in school when I wasn't paying attention in class, had a drawing of the map, the landscape, the national animal(Pygmy Elephants are awesome), political ideals, everything. All this before I even heard of NS, so this was a great site to find.

So, if you remember Seangolia, I'd be surprised. I was a rather moderate, and rather forgettable, figure in those times(Accept during the election of '04, in which there was not one person who didn't have a flamefest with someone or another).

Well, Roach-Busters and I were planning a war in which our countries ended their IC friendship and became enemies. However, after a huge spate of what seemed to me his efforts to "win" the war when I and my allies were leaving him no realistic wiggle room turned a OOC friendship into animosity central. When the war started, we were OOC friends. When I ultimately ignored the war, I also ignored R-B and The Parthians for Godmoding and other reasons.

Note: I'm one of the worst people you'll ever meet when it comes to holding grudges...

As for rivalries, I think a 'call-out' to "Mesatecala vs the combined good sense of NS" is in order. Given the limited forces of the latter it surprises me to say, I think Mesatecala managed to be on the losing side for the most (or whole) part. I gotta say I really miss Mesa who would occassionally make my day by sending me provocative TM's (although I'm not sure if he knew quite how I chose to interpret them - said he wanted to invade me long time....that sexy devil).

In the NS (and to a lesser degree, II) forum, a rather underscored rivalry had developed between the Triumverate of Yut (and their allies), and an opposition force consisting, at various times, of the Order of the Seraphim, METUS and assorted others.

The Oots/ToY war was, in my opinion, the one most likely to have caused the most catastrophic damage had it ever happened. In game reality, the Solar System would have been scorched. In terms of roleplay, ignore cannons would have been fired before it was 1/3rd of the way done and everyone would have gone home, pissed.

Probably why it never happened.
