Is it me or is there a feeling of doom and gloom on the NS pages and off-site forums, people seem to be thinking that NS is coming to the end of its shelf life that its about to jump the shark, go over the hill, call it what you will, I dont know if this has already been discussed, but still, are there any facts on this, is NS still growing? Did it recover after the great summer die-off.

I know there will be the NS die-hards, but really does anyone know if its true, even just to put me at rest...

Originally an 03'er, I would say yes, but three years ago I was a idiot, so I'm not sure where I stand. It's better than it was a few months ago. I know that much.

As long as threads like "Why not write about them" are still capable of thriving in the soil of NS, then we know that it is fertile. And, so long as the weeds of self-seriousness and whining are kept down by careful weeding on the part of the more abusive and vitriolic NSers, there is hope for a good harvest of the carrots of enlightenment and the potatoes of filthy humor.

People have been saying that NS was past its prime for years. Literally. All the "originals" who threw their collective hissy fits and left to form their own little clique forums back in 2004.
