I would do the following, in no particular order:

1. Repeal the Military Commissions Act, Patriot Act, and all the other neo-fascist, oppressive, unconstitutional acts the Bush Administration has passed.
2. Withdraw all our troops from abroad - including military bases as well as combat theaters.
3. Drastically tighten border security, but make it easier for people to immigrate here legally.
4. Do away with the Electoral College.
5. Do away with the Federal Reserve and IRS and return to the gold standard.
6. Give Native American reservations more autonomy.
7. Give states a greater say in how federal funds are used.
8. De-politicize and fully secularize all education, as well as de-centralize it, leaving it in the hands of state and local governments.
9. Repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments.
10. Withdraw from the UN, NATO, the WTO, NAFTA, and every international organization and entangling alliance we're currently in. I would then expel all UN diplomats, tear down UN headquarters, and sign a free trade agreement and non-aggression pact with every country in the world.
11. End sanctions against Cuba and other governments. Despicable as their governments may be, sanctions only hurt the people, not their governments. For that matter, I would exchange embassies with Cuba, as well as the few other countries with which we don't have diplomatic relations.
12. All foreign aid programs, whether humanitarian, military, or other, would be ended.
13. No more unconditionally supporting Israel. In fact, no more "supporting" anyone. We would have a neutral foreign policy, friendly to all, hostile to none. All countries would be treated equally, with no special privileges for anyone.
14. All Departments except Defense, State, and Treasury would be abolished.
15. Defense spending would be drastically reduced to a bare minimum, so we would have a military that could adequately defend the nation, but not police the world.
16. All members of the Bush Administration, as well as their accomplices in Congress, would be impeached.
17. The two-party system would be destroyed. Third parties would be given equal footing.
18. The FCC and all censorship laws would be abolished.
19. All subsidies to business would be ended. All tariffs would be repealed.
20. Minimum wage would be abolished.
21. All health and social welfare programs would be turned over to the states, privatized, or eliminated.
22. Gun control laws would be declared null and void.
23. Privacy rights would be vehemently protected.
24. The CIA would be abolished.
25. I would issue a public apology to the world for all the wrongs we have committed.
26. I would buy back the Panama Canal.
27. Student exchange programs would be begun with as many countries as possible, to expose our students and theirs to different cultures, so we could understand others better, and they could better understand us.
28. Deficit spending would be declared unconstitutional.
29. Rather than taxing citizens directly, the states would be taxed, in proportion to their population.
30. All, or nearly all, laws regulating or otherwise hindering businesses would be repealed.
31. Nearly all land belonging to the federal government would be privatized.
32. Private property rights would be vehemently protected.
33. Abortion, marriage, and other social issues would be left solely to the individual states.

-Make marriages a ceased legal function (no legal marriage, but you can live with and do anyone you want)
-Institute the staggered 14-16 legality of sex and then apply Chef's philosophy
-Make guns legal
-Labor prisons replace ours
-Big wall of death at border for military purposes (immigrants can still enter)
-get not-oil fuel in circulation (I got a 30-year plan in development)
-Trials for the Bush Admin. (they are 3811 H4X0R5)
-Institute a 4-day schoolweek
-Stop the frivolous lawsuits
-Change the Constitution entirely to make my changes more permanent (work in progress...)

gold has no intrinsic value. even tying money to gold you would still have to compare the stock of gold to the available products. the value of money would still fluctuate.

not only that but the supply of money would be less easily regulated. because of the ability to adopt fiscal policy to regulate supply, inflation is easier to combat.

1. I would cut National Government power by at least 60%.

3. I would decentralized the National Government, giving states more power.
4. I would impliment the fair tax program and abolish the IRS.
5. I would tighten up border security and make a 50 feet tall wall between Mexico and the US.
6. I would tell the Middle East (including Israel) that they are on their own, and if they even think of messing with us, then they should be prepare to be turned into glass.
7. I would pass laws making these changes to government size, power, and the tax codes permentant.
8. I would offer incenitive for people, business, and others to use alternative fuels and means of power since I just basically told the Middle East to fuck off.
9. I would form an alliance with China, Japan, and S. Korea to combat the problem with N. Korea.

Money would be defined in terms of weight of gold. Creates less impact wrt inflation and cycles, especially since cycles are the result of governmental meddling into the money supply and businesses.

12. Taking of Drugs for medicinal purposes will require a licence, renewed every year, and can only be issued by certain doctors who will be investigated by the Federal Government. Should that Doctor be ineligeble, all licenced persons will be notified and given 30 days to get a new licence from another certified Doctor. such certification and licence will be free.
13. with such a licence, the civilian can grow their own drugs provided they do not distribute nor sell any to anyone, even another licenced person. violaters (both providers and recipiants) will be inelligble to renew their licence. this includes second hand smoke.
14. any and all ideas will be taught in school. creationism will be taught, but also ID as well as evolution. the same with Sex Education, they will provide all forms of safe sex practices... even abstinance.
15. The Separation of Church and state will revert to it's original meaning as written by President Jefferson. Meaning if a government worker wants to protray a cross/star of David/crecent...etc in his/her workplace, so be it.
if a civilian wants to put up a Nativity scene on the steps of a Government Building, they will adhere to the size limitation set by legislation and the Government cannot refuse anyone else of putting up any other Religious or non-religous symbols. However all groups must pay for use of Federal property for any activity. That fee can be transferred to any volunteer reguardless of status as long as that fee is paid. i.e. Congressman Bill can pay the useage fee to have the Boy Scouts use Federal land for their activities... as long as the fee is paid.
16. Penalties for any Federal Employee breaking any law will be increased by two steps. Federal Employees need to have the trust and support of the citizens, any betrayal of that trust will be met with severe consequences.
17. Any crimes against Federal Employees will be met with severe Consequences. (Increased penalties by one step.)
18. There will be a Federally Funded News Station. this station will not recieve any funding from outside sources thus will not be competing for adds with other news outlets. however, it will be an free broadcast station that will provide only news via the Government. this station will also be a live feed for any and all government announcments (State of the Union, Messages from the President, House Voting Sessions as well as all Congressional sessions etc...) there will be no editorizing, no pundits, no opinions given. only straight facts for the viewer to interprete and compare with other outlets. Individual States can also utilize this station for their own legislature and State Government use, provided no private firm nor company can dictate programming.
19. the Death Penalty will be reinstated. however only under these terms.
A) two independant investigations will be conducted. one by the state the other by a Federal Department set up to do such investigations. all evidence and transcrips will be required to be held until the time equalling 1 year after Death Sentence is carried out. any evidence of mishandling and the Death Sentence will be reduced to Life. (or release depending on what is uncovered.)
B) After the two investigations, the Sentenced will begin a 10 yr countdown. after 8 years, another investigation by person(s) not connected to prior investigations will be conducted using updated evidence examination procedures. any doubt will reduce the sentence from Death to Life in prisionment. (or release depending on what is uncovered.)
C) Two weeks prior to execution, the victims or their survivors will be given a chance to "Redeem" the prisoner. This will be done in private. They will review the convicts record in prison and if they wish, they can meet with the convicted felon under supervised conditions. if the Victim or the survivors wish, the Death penalty will be reduced to Life in prison. it can be recommended for a shortened punnishment, and that will be taken into account for the felon's next parole hearing.
20. Legalize Prostitution and then bury it in red tape and taxes.

*The proceeds will go into a general fund for all departments to use. Size of this general fund will also determine if tax breaks for all US citizens will be instituted.

Then you're in favor or stripping away constitutional rights? Well I can't say the same for myself. I also get the feeling that the rest of the nation isn't fond of the idea of restricting freedoms.

Eh, I guess I'll be moderate.

1) Establish a legal process for secession, which any individual or group could potentially use.
2) Nationalize healthcare.
3) Make abortions legal at any point up until birth, or c-section.
4) Legalize gay marriage. Married people receive some federal priviledges. Why would the states decide what happens federally?
5) Ban sales taxes.
6) Make the minimum wage a living wage.
7) Require that all states with "3 strikes and you're out" laws also apply them to corporations.
8) Make all education free. This includes things like college, CPR training, and also education in how to properly wield and use a firearm.
9) Close Guantanamo Bay, and any base where prisoners are kept that aren't prisoners of a country that we're at war with. This is to ensure that these prisoners receive the protections of the U.S. Constitution.
10) Urge the U.N. to reform itself by withdrawing veto power from any of the Security Council members. Instead, all decisions must be approved by the majority of the Security Council, in addition to being approved by the majority of the U.N members.
11) Enact term limits for Congresspersons.
12) Urge the states to do the same for their legislatures.
13) Close most loopholes in the tax codes.
14) Make truth in advertising laws stricter.
15) Establish a policy of open-door immigration.
16) Ban at-will employment after a period of 60 days. This would mean that after 60 days, an employee could only be fired for egregious offenses.
17) Require that all private businesses, non-profits, or groups who receive federal money be subject to federal law.
18) End corporate welfare.
19) Make it easier for drug addicts to be sentenced to rehab instead of jail, for serious drugs.
20) a)Make cannabis legal for industrial and medical purposes.
b)Stop enforcing the illegality of cannabis use for recreational purposes, with the exception of things like driving while high.

21) Ban the death penalty.
22) Ban life imprisonment.
23) Establish sentencing for federal crimes to be minimum sentences. This would mean that someone sentenced to 2 years would only get out then for good behavior. Someone with bad behavior would stay longer, depending on the severity of the behavior.
24) Reduce the number of things that people can sue each other over.
25) Establish a nominal federal fee on stock trades. This fee would be applied per share of stock traded.
26) Withdraw from the WTO, CAFTA, and NAFTA.
27) Commit federal funds for the development of alternative fuels.
28) Rescind the law that says only natural-born citizens can be President.

That's all I can think of for now, but there may be more.

If I were Mr. President, I would do the following:
1. Re-strategize the Iraq War and have a new plan for the exit strategy. I would send a lot more troops in to secure the borders mainly with Iran and Syria to keep their insurgents and extremists out. Finish the Job quickly.
2. After my exit strategy works successfully in Iraq. I would move our troops around and bring most back Home. I would close our base in Germany. A lot of troops would remain in South Korea until we determined the best way to rid N. Korea of the Nukes. I would also give Iran a stern warning of the consequences of them continuing the Nuke programs.
3. I would immediately withdraw from the UN including all funds and would personally hand them the eviction notice.
4. I would station our Troops around our border to secure it for once and for all.
5. I would have a complete Over Haul of the way the Government does its job.
6. Reform the Education system and pay top quality teachers a much higher salary.
7. Reform Immigration to due a much more extensive background check.
8. I would have a special department to oversee all current laws of every level review and to locate the loopholes and nonsense laws starting at the Federal level.
9. Reform the Judicial system. To not support the frivilous lawsuits. To use common sense when presiding over cases.
10. I would eliminate the Special Interest and Lobbyist Groups of interfering and bribing our Politicians and have extensive fines with possible jail times pending on each case.

15. I would open up our oil caps in the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska to be less dependant on other foreign nations.
16. Complete Reform and Overhaul of our Foreign Policy.

1. Bill of rights means bill of rights. If it doesn't involve Federal Law, the national government should not get involved. Also, let every sane person have a gun. The whole purpose of amendment #2 was for the citizens to have a way to protect themselves in case the British come back and institute complete control over the entire US again. Hell, let everyone who can afford it get an Abrams tank too. Maybe a Challenger or a Sherman. Maybe. No Panzers. Have to draw the line somewhere.

Well, if I was president of the U.S. of A., with full emergency powers, what I'd do is:

- Shift energy production to nuclear power plants, not oil or coal.
- Have Ann Coulter arrested
- Have Bill O'Reily arrested
- Have every other ultra-conservative idealogue I haven't named arrested
- Begin massive production of ethanol for use in cars (it can already be done!)
- Raise taxes on the rich, corporations and yes, on the rest of society as well - although not as extremely.
- Use that money to end the deficit, fix Social Security, establish a National Healthcare system and improve the educational system (at least in reguards to math, science, English courses and Foreign Language courses - I'd discourage the study of history and the social sciences because I'd be a freaking tyrant and wouldn't want the people to know enough about how things were to complain).
- Abolish all tarifs and trade barriers, and encourage all other nations to do the same
- Make self President for Life.
- Appoint almost all my relatives to high positions
- Slowly become corrupt, eventually ending up as some sort of monstrous American version of Saddam Hussein's sons. (What? At least I'm honest... that's what would happen to anyone given that much power.)

First thing I'd do would be to ask how the hell a guy from Cornwall just became President of the US.
