Oh my God, we've created a monster...

So, as part of a top secret experiment, I, as well as three of my buddies have been experimenting in the art of the homebrewing of beer and ales. We have brewed a Hefeweizen, an American Style Microbrewery Pale Ale and a Koelsch. We cracked the Hefeweizen tonight, our first batch.

It tastes amazing, flavor is just like the Hefeweizens I had in Germany (a bit weaker, but that's because of a minor mistake we made). The beer is excellent in flavor, color is perfect, so is the carbonation. We have created one of the best beers I have ever tasted (partially because my own labor is mixed in with it).

The alcohol content is extremely high though, way too for a hefeweizen. I'm a heavyweight drinker of the first order, and I'm feeling it seriously after a meager four bottles. The exact same goes for 'percio. It's not a bad thing, it's just a surprise.

But yeah, here's me and one of my babies (http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/538/imgp2076gz6.jpg).

I once put Skittles in beer in an attempt to make Skittlebrau. It wasn't bad. Nothing to write home about.

i'm not going to ask what sort of labour you put into it to make it taste better.

i had a ginger beer brewery kit when i was a kid. ginger beer is soo much better when it's actually alcoholic, a proper warm drink even when it's at room temp.

Last time my friend tried a homebrew, his 2l bottle of cider exploded on the minibus. :D He is now banned from brewing.
