Attention All US Citizens:

Vote.

Yeah, you heard me, VOTE. No, I DON'T CARE if American Idol is on during the elections two weeks from now, you WILL GET OFF YOUR ASS, head to your nearest voting station, and VOTE! It was YOUR indecision that got us the Schrub and his little friends in Congress to begin with, and now YOU are going to get us out of it by voting EVERY LAST ONE OF THOSE NEO-FASCIST FUCKERS who voted for the Military Commission Act OUT of Congress.

Tell YOUR friends to vote. Tell THEM to tell THEIR friends, tell THEM to tell THEIR friends to tell THEIR friends. We ARE taking back this country.

*sigh*

Bolol's blood-pressure is now at dangerous levels, and he is certain that he's now bleeding somewhere inside.

So please, I beg of you, show a bit of civic duty, and vote...responsibly...

Thank you for your patience.

Sadly, the Democratic representative from my district voted FOR the Military Commissions Act. :(

Then vote THEM out. I didn't specify what party you should vote for. If they were democrats, find someone else: Republicans, Libertarians, Socialists, Communists, Anarchists, Aliens, I don't care! As long as you get them OUT (and as long as they aren't replaced by an official member of the American Nazi Party), then we're good!

I'd suggest you vote for the Pansexual Peace Party, their motto is "Sex is good! Sex is great! Yea sex!". They need to be at least 10 times better than the fuckers we have right now.

And I haven't heard your commitments to tell your friends and their friends!

*breathes*

Bolol will now go to sleep before he actually DOES bleed out. Thanks again.

Hmmm.....You must like paying higher taxes. :D

Well, let's see the difference:

Democrats: Spending money we have
Republicans: Spending money we don't have.

Which one seems more economically responsible? Seriously, I would gladly pay higher taxes if I know it's not going to wasted(Unlike the horrible spending and wasting of the current Admin).

Nice try at emotional appeal, but logic dictates better than stupidity.

I didn't say I wasn't going to or that I was confused about what to do with my vote...just making the observation that if I do choose to vote out the "neo-facist fucker" from my district, I may well be voting in someone else who would have done the same thing.

And if it makes you feel any better, I have been talking to my friends alot about this. Deep breaths!

Wanting to get everyone good health care and wanting to get rid of an administration as harmful as al-Qaida is bad for our health?

Why do you think they lose so often ?:D
Never mind all the equally numerous times Republicans lose too, right?

And don't worry, I plan on voting in every election I can, and I'm voting for the party that will save America from peril, whichever it may be each time.

Republicans gave some of us tax breaks. Just not anyone I know. Our local Republicans keep cutting health care for uninsured children, cutting funds for low income housing and cutting them for mental health services.
I haven't missed an election since I turned 18.

Primary sentiment agreed with. Vote.

HOWEVER, I think that it's hardly commendable to vote BLINDLY. Which many, many seem to do.

"Bush is a lying facist pig! Down with the Republicans!"

"Raise our taxes and shove homosexuality down my throat, will you? Down with Democrats!"

Vote for the right CANDIDATE, and base it on more than the little letter that goes after their name. Otherwise, you're just another sheep doing the same thing your peers do, and it doesn't help the political process much more than apathy, in my opinion.

The U.S. not "heading towards totalitarianism," nor is it "heading towards socialism." It's floating somewhere in the middle, and the country has been caught up in a terrorism scare exploited by both "sides" for political gain.

Vote, certainly, but do try to use your brain and not your gut instinct to dictate the way your ballot swings ("Oh no, they'll make me gay! Oh no, they're going to start forcing me to bear children!").

I would vote, but the undemocratic sham that is our electoral system means that my prefered candidate stands no chance of actually winning. That, and I have no prefered candidate, seeing as how I won't be voting for the party under which I am registered this time around. Sure, I'll vote for local propositions and such, but most of the candidate/office selections are going to be blank.

Yeah, voting down party-lines is decidedly for huge tools. Both parties have way too many d-bags to blindy put people in office.

Do however, vote Stewart/Colbert in 2008.

It makes it a little less painful when you remember you're making an investment in the future of America by paying taxes for schools and health care and such. I'm all for reducing the complicated bulk that is the current government budget and making our taxes more fair and reasonable. But sacrificing a bit of your money for the education of our children, for a healthier nation, for the greater good, and for the country — that's real patriotism, my friend.

However, I cant in good concience vote entirely all Democratic party.

Debbie Stabenow is a Democrat.

She was one of 7 Democratic senators who voted in favor of the last Torture Bill.

No way will I vote for her.

She thought that it was a good idea to allow the President to define what is, and what is not torture?

This President?

It depends on who is running against her.

Republicans spend and spend, so that when they are replaced by a Democrat, that person has no choice to raise taxes to cover the debt of the previous administration.

Thats how its been for thirty-plus years.

Sadly, Stewart and Colbert won't run. Ever. :( And they shouldn't run till at least 2012, so that I can vote for them :D (thouhg I will be 20).

And yeah, I'd recommend actually knowing the candidate rather than the party. I'm pretty sure the Democrats will take control since people are not too happy with the Republicans, so they'll blindly vote Democrat since THEY'RE NOT REPUBLICAN. :headbang:

And that last part reminds me of one conversation two girls had in science once (we were dicussing the news)

Jessica: Bush is a Republican right?
Krysta: Yes.
Jessica: Then I'm a Democrat.
Me: WTF? Idiot! Democrat are basically Republicans, only they don't tend t be Christian!

If you vote, go for the parties that DON'T musling, whine, scare the public for their own profit, and vote-whore just to secure their place in Congress. *begs, with big ol' puppy eyes:
