A major research institution (MRI) has recently announced the discovery of the heaviest chemical element yet known to science. The new element has been tentatively named Governmentium. Governmentium has 1 neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Since governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected as it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of governmentium causes one reaction to take over four days to complete when it would normally take less than a second. Governmentium has a normal half-life of three years; it does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause some morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.

This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to speculate that governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as Critical Morass.

Tough crowd eh?

I liked it, though it was mildly pointless.

I'm so with the people who just posted to complain that they'd heard it before. Whether they think no one else should cover ground they are already familiar with, or whether they just think they are so important people actually need and want to know whether they've heard something before, they are completely right to butt in just to post about how 'over it' they are.

I had this issue myself the other day. When it became clear I'd already seen this movie I went ahead and brought a ticket, then I spent the whole time complaining that it was old, entertaining the first time but boring in replay and oh so generously announced that those who hadnt see it before had my permission to be entertained; they were of course so grateful that I had decided to allow them to be amused even though I was obviously very superior for having seen it all before....but not in the least bit conceited of course...

Yeah, so everyone cares if you've seen or heard it all before and frankly we are very grateful that you give those of us who have not encountered it before permission to be amused, in between hinting that since you've heard it all before it shouldnt be posted for the benefit of those who have not.....
