I was thinking...

I like to travel, but it is expensive. And right now I'm in a financial situation that is a bit uncertain, so I can't afford to take any chances - I need to have some reserves. Even though I really would enjoy getting away, taking a vacation right now is just impossible. Aah, how I would enjoy finding a beach somewhere and just lay there relaxing in the sun... Mmmm...

So I got to wondering: What are the things you would like to do, but can't do right now? And why can't you do it? Are there things you'd like to buy but don't have enough money? Places you'd like to go but responsibilities you can't get out of?

You know, stuff like that. Well? :)

I am writing a test on Saturday, the government's Graduate Recruitment Test. If I do well, my job applications may advance. If I do not do well... Well, I will have to broaden my job search to the private sector. It is a very difficult test, so I am anxious. I would like to know that I will do well, or even better not have to write the thing at all. I guess I will slot it into the unwanted responsibility category.

Rather than preparing for the test, I would like to be playing Sim City, doing yoga, or dancing.

I'd like to see all my old friends from high school even though I graduated last spring. But I forgot all their phone numbers and I don't really know where they live.:(

I want to go to Thailand. I'm going next year, though.

I'd love to travel more. I'd been planning on going back to Europe and visiting some friends next summer, but then I had to have dental surgery and that idea went down the drain. Maybe in a couple years I'll make it back. If I'm very lucky I'll be able to go back for school.

I'd also very much like to be at home and sleeping right now, instead of at work with a raging headache and the beginnings of a sore throat.

The fact that I found the girls in question attractive simply means that I've managed to rule out about 80% of potential prom dates as early as October. If I wasn't a senior this year, I wouldn't even think twice about it, as prom is overrated... meh, screw tradition, I think I'll just save a couple hundred bucks and completely ignore the situation.

Unfortunatley, I'm in the middle of working towards a degree, and that simply takes precedence. Then there's the whole immigration process itself, which is going to be craptacular.

I'd also really, really like to reestablish contact with a couple of old internet friends...but their old e-mail accounts are no longer active. :(

It's just been one of those weeks for a lot of people, I am afraid. It should get better, tho.

I would like to:

1) Travel - mostly in Europe, but also to Vietnam.

2) Buy a house, they're very expensive.

3) Get my wedding plans sorted out.

1. Get a job with the AOPA (Aircraft Owner and Pilot Association) or Plane & Pilot as their archivist.

2. Buy either a small brick house or a townhouse.

3. Own my very own airplane!

4. Find a girl that I can finally be happy with and won't need a "me" time to get away from her.

5. Actually be close to someone.

6. Tear down the walls that I've put up through years of being anti-social.

And I would rant here, except one friend has just gotten an account, and she's the one who I really don't want to know about it. I promised I'd tell her in twenty years when we're older and I'm no longer ashamed. For now, music and sleep sounds good. All my favourite Smiths lyrics are so close to my heart right now.

I would like to be somewhere warmer, well at least not as damp, hugging my fiancé. They say they won't turn on the heating until the end of the month. And my fiancé has a work thing all weekend, and I have appointments every day except Sunday so I wouldn't be able to go see him if he was home anyway. :( I would like also to be done with my PhD so I could be around him more. I want to finish this because I know it means better jobs later on and I enjoy studying this subject, but I hate having to be away from him sometimes.

No, "ganking" (short for "gang kill") refers to a single player or small group of players being killed by an opposing group with significant numerical superiority.

Then again, even that's not so bad - it's the shoving me out of a safe zone to pull off the gank that really pissed me off (and led to the creation of a new rule, I might add). Not to mention the small fact that only two of the six people that contributed to soaking me were actually alive at that point...
