What a bunch of clowns
Hundreds gather for convention in Mexico City
MEXICO CITY - There was hardly room for all the big feet and rubber noses as hundreds of clowns from across Latin America opened a four-day convention in a Mexico City theater on Monday.

Some 400 clowns, mainly from Mexico but with contingents from Central America, the Dominican Republic and the United States, gathered for four days of workshops, classes and, well, just clowning around.

creepy. so, so creepy.

out of interest, I was trying to find the word for 'fear of clowns' so googled it. I came across this site:
http://www.phobia-fear-release.com/fear-of-clowns.html
Which is just odd. And funny.
Symptoms of fear of clowns:

Seeing clowns or only thinking about clowns can result in the following symptoms:
breathlessness, dizziness, excessive sweating, nausea, dry mouth, feeling sick, shaking, heart palpitations, inability to speak or think clearly, a fear of dying, becoming mad or losing control, a sensation of detachment from reality or a full blown anxiety attack.

You are not the only one to suffer from fear of clowns. Most sufferers are surprised to learn that they are far from alone in this surprisingly common, although often unspoken, phobia.
It goes on from there. I can only assume they've made the same page, but with 'fear of ....' replaced with whatever it is you google.

The little picture the BBC had illustrating the headline when it was on the front page was really creepy, and looked like one of those horror movie clowns.

In a strange coincidence, I happened to stumble upon the coulrophobia article in Wikipedia this morning.

I think clowns shouldn't be allowed to be clowns, because their painted faces make them stand out and stop our nation becoming united and shows their separateness which i believe is a disgrace.

BAN CLOWNS NOW!!!

Vagabundo clowns sound cool, but charlie chaplain used to scare me because all the pictures of him were in black and white! :D
