Stay the course, unless you've been deleted... and even then, make sure everyone knows it's you when you come back.

I used to try staying the course, but I gave up on that...yeah...I'm not a "new" guy. I'm actually a reallly old guy who had some shit to do for awhile. I actually made my original nation like fifteen days after this whole NationStates thing started.

I don't need an alias, because I have nothing to hide.

i have had a few other nations on here...nothing serious. I have one right now that i want to use to cause mischieve...but im gonna be a good little boy :)

My computer broke and when I got a new one I went with a different service provider so my email changed too.
I couldnt remember my password, my nation had no doubt been deleted for inactivity, I couldnt have my password emailed (because I no longer had the email account I had registered with), and I wasnt even entirely certain of the exact lettering of my nation's title (with "automatically log me in" selected in all my settings, it's not like I ever typed it).
So far as I could tell my old account wasnt retrievable, so I started a new one.

With corny, the imbecilic comments, downright stupid ideas, and penchant for factual errors might have made him appear a troll to the uninitiated, but he always seemed content to let it all hang out, embarrassing as that repeatedly was.

I make a new account whenever I stray from NS long enough for my old nation to disappear. I've managed to keep this one going fairly long compared to my last few.

I'm tending toward thinking that certain posters are in fact puppet discreditors - designed specifically to put a savage burn on one side of an issue or on one ideology, in order to discredit that side or perspective while still appearing to defend it - albeit poorly.

For instance, making a name like "ACLUsSOGreat" and making posts like "the aclu's best idea yet is to abolish marriage and require that 85% of summer camp counselors, even in christian camps, be gay, because of blah blah blah"

I think I've posted on NS General with other usernames years ago, back when I RPed, but all the relevant nations are gone.

Almost all of my NS General participation has come from Soheran... though the Soheranians are getting tired of it, and any day now might decide to throw me out.

Never had to worry about it. The only way I'll leave is if I get DEATed, and that's not going to happen. All I've managed from the mods so far is a 'knock it off' in a thread about everyone's warnings etc. And that was because I'd said I'd never had so much as a 'knock it off'. :p Nice to know the mods have a sense of humour.

I come back with my old account. Which is why my post count is relatively low compared to the age of my account/nation.

I had an old nation - Grand Teton. Decided I didn't like the name a couple of months after I became a Generalite. I should really get it rezzed, t'was an Apr04 vintage. I intend to keep this one going as long as NS does.

I don't plan on leaving, but if for some reason I have to, I'll be back. Like it says in someone's sig, NSG is like the hotel california, we can check out but we can never leave.

This is my original nation. I've had a couple puppets deleted for inactivity, though. Also, Jello Biafra 2 exists, but usually doesn't wander into the forums.
