I would firstly like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologise to anyone I may ever have annoyed in my time on these forums.
Paul Gibbons, 47, tracked down John Jones using details obtained online after the pair exchanged insults in an internet chatroom, a court heard.

He travelled 70 miles to Mr Jones' home in Clacton, Essex, and beat him up with a pickaxe handle in December 2005.

It's obvious that opinions in chatrooms can get heated, but to actually travel all that way to beat up someone you've only met in cyberspace? If it winds you up that much, just switch off the computer, for crying out loud.

Dunno, I've never done it. You don't have to look very hard though, from even these forums, to see that people do.

Yes, they do. And it's generally a bad idea.

I don't think NS has claimed any real-life casulties yet though, has it? :p

Sometimes you can get pretty worked up, Philosophy, but I don't think you're likely to track anyone down and beat them up. Burst a blood-vessel, maybe ;)

No one is yet to successfully wind me up that much on here. Irritated, perhaps, but not wound up.

I assure you'd all know about it very quickly if it happened. :p

Oh err, i'm moving quick! :D.

Im suprised someone would do that, it seems ridiculous as your not going to meet that person at all and they affect you in no way physically or with your RL friends(if you have any).

However as far as NS goes, im now going to slowly slip into oblivion and never return to these forums or any others, and throw my modem in the bin which i shall then burn....always said Technologies the work of the Devil! Lol

Edit: I'd say we english don't get as annoyed as some other countries surrounding us do...*cough*

I find that to be very unfortunate and disturbing. Although, I'm frequently misunderstood or misinterpreted of (I may in part be guilty due to certain wording I may or may not choose)choice language.
Everybody does in fact have the right to their opinions and views of the world we live in. Nobody has the right to cause bodily harm for a differing view.

Note to ALL: Although, I will stand my ground on certain issues I may have strong feelings for. I am, however, currently working on correcting my wording choices so not to be as offensive as they may appear to some. I feel that I'm giving myself a bad reputation which I do not intend to do.

I also understand that NS seems to be a strong hold for the liberal views, so that makes it even more hard for me to use better language. I do assure you that I am indeed working on my wording practices.

Have a good Day......... :D

I don't get angry I just get sad. Worst was with my previous login name and some guy was going on about Africans being less human then Europeans or something. Was acutely saddened by it. So acute that I stopped coming on for fear that I'd become angry.

Then I realised that if I listen to the radio version of the Mighty Boosh nothing can sadden me ever.

check the boards... "NS Player Information (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=444888)" NS photo threads... then in some NSG region forums, I've seen people posting phone #'s and other contact Information.

Dude, I know I got stuck in after a few things you said on a thread (can't remember what), and it may have got pretty heated, it was mostly wording (+a bit of content). I'm glad it's made you think a bit more about how you post. I harbour no ill judgement of you or anyone here, if I have a set to on a thread it stays on the thread. There does seem to be a few posters here who bandy the word "troll" about at anyone they don't like whether they're trolling or not (DK comes to mind here) on any thread just to get at them it seems. This I find sad.

I'm a tad shocked that someone would drive from London to Clacton and assault a guy like this (or any distance) because of cyberwords.

*apologizes profusely to all*

Anyhoo. I've been profusely annoyed by morons on the internet, but not to the level to beating with pickaxe handles. Wanted to punch them in the throat, but not beating with aforementioned object. That would just be OTT for me.

Mind you, thumbs up for having the determination to find out where he lived, go there, get in the house, and overpower the guy IN ORDER to beat him with a pickaxe handle.
