If you died with braces on, would they take them off?

yes, they do.
Not bad

They would if they were leg braces.

Dunno about tooth braces, but if you died with a pacemaker in they would scoop it out before they cremated you.

I don't see why they would even bother. Every time I've been to an open casket ceremony the mouth was closed, so it's not like anyone would notice them.

It'd be a lot like Tron.

Not unless they put the corpse up on a motor cycle and made it race another corpse.

they have to sew your mouth shut so gasses don't escape, sewing the mouth shut over braces leaves an appearance that has much to be desired so they take them out... it's not hard when you don't have to be careful.

I used to date a mortician's assistant, I quit talking to him though after we got into an arguement and he said "you know if you keep pissing me off, I can get rid of you"

I didn't think it was funny.

In my experience people who give you that warning aren't the ones to watch out for, but you should never take a threat lightly. Good move dumping him.

yeah, I tend to shy away from people who threaten me....also from people who refuse to take responsiblity for their own feelings the "you keep pissing me off" part worried me just as much as the threat.

It's just as well. A lot of people in that profession are just.....well let's face it-strange. In a scary way. I mean think about what they do, what they see every day.

I loved Occy. She just faded away. We had such a great time in the Kazoo thread. I cant believe some of the things we got away with in there. For those who never read it....you missed out. Huge.

I don't know... I had a woman threaten my life once. I fell in love with her immediately. Unfortunately, the more I loved her, the faster she ran away...

ah...

memories...

Leave us not to go in that direction lest someone bring up the relative strangeness of interweb fora users.

Well, that could be said about any publicly visible corpse, but I guess there's no point making the mortician's job any harder.

Occidio anyone?Sure do miss her.

When I had braces I also had jaw surgery to correct my bite. This require my jaws being wired shut for a couple of months.
So my date comes to my parents house to pick me up, my dad hands me some wire cutters. He tells me in front of my date "These are in case you get drunk and throw up, so you won't aspirate on your own vomit." Gee, thanks dad, nice to know you care.
