I'd vote for a pirate for anything, unless he was running against someone from CYPSWP. Yar har fiddle dee dee, being a pirate is alright to be, do what you want cos I pirate is free, you are a pirate!

If I could, no. But if he got rid of that sodding Pirates of the Caribbean badge on his hat, sure.

BTW, here's his website: http://www.jameshillforcongress.com/

(And some people thought my PUNKS AND PIRATES party (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=500261) for the latest NSG parlimentary elections was a joke...

I would have like to vote for him but he spelled 'through' 'thru' on the homepage of his website so he fails.

Maybe he's a student of Kerouac?

OK, I know that Jack was a writer and a bit of a hippie but thats about it so you'll need to explain that reference a bit.

Holy shit! Not only is he a pirate, he's running on a platform of honesty. If I lived in Iowa, he'd have my vote in a heartbeat. I'm only a short drive from Iowa, too. :(

He would write "thru" instead of "through" and things like that. Mostly, I think, because he would write entire novels in a matter of days while on speed.

"Before we were a country they — pirates — were running mini-democracies. We need to get back to that," he said, adding an unsolicited promise that he will bring more "swashbuckling" to Congress if elected.

Sounds good to me.

No. He's making a mockery of our political system -- he needs to debate the issues instead of donning some flashy attire and claiming that he is a "pirate."

Apparently the Dems and Reps don't want to debate issues with him. And really, if he wasn't donning a flashy attire would you have even HEARD of him? Of course not. Because news don't report anyone except the stupid Dems and Reps. So really, he's doing what's necessary for his campaign, a perfectly valid thing in our political system.

And don't tell me the two main parties never pull off attention-getting stunts to gain support.

Heck, compared to him, the other two parties are the mockeries.
