Yet another GOP loser under investigation.

Wow. I'm just amazed. Now we have another GOoPer in congress (http://www.realcities.com/mld/krwashington/15754123.htm) about to hit the fan. Nothing a creepy as the Foley/Hastert bruhaha, but still falling in line with what the party as a whole has come to symbolize.

Sweet crap...though I have to say that this gives me a bit of pause...
Word of the inquiry, which has been closely held within the Justice Department and the FBI, comes from two individuals with specific knowledge of the existence of the investigation. They both declined to be identified because of the confidentiality of criminal investigations.
Spokesmen for the FBI and the Justice Department declined to confirm or deny that an inquiry is under way.
William Canfield, a lawyer who represented Weldon when a Los Angeles Times report prompted the House ethics committee to briefly explore the issue two years ago, said the congressman is unaware of a Justice Department investigation and is confident that none exists.
"Is there is an inquiry going on in the Justice Department?" Canfield asked. "The answer is no. . . . Curt knows nothing about this, his chief of staff knows nothing about it and I know nothing about it. I think we would have heard about it."
Given the timing I think a little reservation isn't out of the question, but still...

Weldon was already in trouble against Sestak--the most recent polls have him down, and this isin't going to help. Sestak is another one of those military veterans the Dems got to run this time--a retired Rear Admiral. What was that about Dems hating the military again? :D

In an interview today Mobi said, "being a Democrat these days. It's like every day is Christmas. I just get up every morning and look at what new scandal the Republicans are in today."
Pretty close to the truth.

I only say this to you because we're about the same age and are often on the same page-I'm glad that's going the way it is, but Sestak is aweful close to Slestack...if his house is a small pyramid that requires arranging crystals to get into...

The Republicans need to be purged of these scumbags. I guess that's what happens when a party almost completely abandons the promises that brought it to power.
And this is coming from a Republican.

The GOP is sure looking bad right now. All of the stuff the said about bringing respectability and honesty to the congress is out the window. As far as Foley, he isn't gay just another child molestor.
Scary shit, man. :D
Immensly. Absolutely horrifying.
...
What's Slestak?
Also: I am not surprised by this in the least. The GOP is completely falling apart at the most opportune time for the Dems. Now all we need to do is slaughter the Dems and the gates will be open for new parties, and possibly even an Independent President!

Well at least the Republicans are purging their party of these scumbags instead of re-electing them *cough*.

Nepotism at it's finest.
Well, no. I guess the Bush family has that one sewn up.
