Nope. Next month's elections will see nice gains for Democrats. I guess you folks need something to console you, so have fun with the Air America thing.

This is no shock at all. Did you ever listen to some of the Air-America programming? It was complete and utter S***.

It's the Right-Wing Persecution Complex in action yet again. Despite being in complete control of the nation at the moment, they still act like they're being oppressed.
They made a big deal out of Cindy Sheehan, and now they'll make a big deal out of Air America's bankruptcy. And of course, the other side never really have a shit about either one to begin with so the Busheviks are howling and flinging shit amongst themselves. As usual.

Hmm we will see what happens on election day. Don't think it will be so glorious for the Dem's.
Have fun with the Air America thing? Sounds like a cut and run to me.

Where have you been? Air America said it was going into bankruptcy over a month ago. It's not taking them off the air or anything--they're just restructuring.

No it's not. They're not acting like they're oppressed when they celebrate the demise of Air America. They're gloating over the failure of a radio station that nobody really cared about. They're assuming that it actually meant something to Liberals.

Where he's always been. Neverland. Where Mark Foley is a Democrat, where Iraq and Afghanistan are shining bastions of secular democracy, and where every bad that happened in history was all Clinton's fault. Oh, and where Michael Jackson really has good intention for kids.

I'm betting the Dems will make strong gains. Maybe even take over the majority despite the gerrrymandering that hinders them. As for Air America, I never even once listened to it. I'm an NPR guy, so no big loss for me.

NPR is more tame in the approach they take. I would liken Air America to some of the far right wing radio that is out there. To over the top will not maintain ratings.

To Meir Kahane Junior, Air America going belly-up means the end of the Democratic Party period.
:D

I agree. That is, if "strong" = "a few".

Now that's funny--a Democrat supporter complaining about gerrymandering!

At last, he's right about something. Air America and NPR are virtually indistinguishable politically.

Goes along with the rest of the political crap that is being released leading up to the election. Anything to sway opinion. Both parties are in full swing for mudslinging.

I love how a radio company that went into bankruptcy protection--which will keep them broadcasting and won't change a damn thing--suddenly changes everything about the coming elections for some of you out there. You guys are hysterical.
Air America's entrance into Chapter 11 won't change the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, it won't change the deficit, it won't change the list of Republican Congressmen going to jail, it won't change the flap over Mark Foley. That's what people are voting on--not Air America's financial situation (which, by the way, is unrelated to its ratings, which are strong).

I've seen some of the Air America stuff on IFC (or was it Sundance?) and it was pretty funny. Horribly biased, but very funny nonetheless. I like Al Franken.

What does that have to do with the fact that we currently have the worst president in American history in the White House, a Congress that has spent more money than all other Congresses in history combined with the President's blessing, wide open borders - more wide open than ever before and, if the president and his Republican cronies in teh Senate have their way, may just be dissolved altogether, a war that will ultimately end up handing control of the lion's share of the world's oil to Iraq and Syria and a world image that is the worst it has been since before WWII? Air America has nothing to do with any of that?

I mean, there's divorced from reality and then there's these folks. Are they living in Bizzarro world, where a 33% presidential job approval rating is a good thing? Where trailing in polls all across the country is a positive? Does the entrance of a small radio company into bankruptcy protection somehow negate all that? I mean, I thought Creationists were delusional, but fuck, they seem sane compared to this shit.

Maybe they're putting their money where their mouths are and signing up for Afghanistan or Iraq.
Naaaah...
They're writing IMs to each other just like their favorite Congressman.
"Ooooh... Air America went bankrupt. Franken is off the air, Democrats lose all the elections in November... Jeb Bush wins the White House in 2008!"
"YES!! YES!! YES!! I need a smoke... was it good for you as it was good for me?"
Exactly.
They don't know how many radio stations start and fail all the time.
Yar. A station near me just went under, bought out by a classical music station.
I miss hearing that thing play constantly, going "ZEE ONE OH FOUUUURR!"

Oh dear!
A left-leaning radio network has, in times of fiscal difficulty, entered the Chapter 11 process to remain solvent during a period of restructuring!
Clearly this spell the end for Democrats!!!
Because if those damn lefties haven't learned to lie, steal, and cook the books like good REPUBLICAN supporting businesses (Heeeeeeeelllo Enron!) then they'll never be dishonest enough to succeed in politics!

Only a person deep in a delusional state could look at the last 14 years and come to the conclusion that the US has done better in the last 6 years than it did in the 8 previous to that.
You sir, are one of those delusional folks.
Oderint dum metuant, baby :D
You think its good that people are scared to death of us? I don't, I prefer the old WWII candy-giving liberator US image, not the Haditha/My Lai type...

But you got it half right. We have indeed instilled more hatred.....

Right. Syria is going to march right in and grab those oil fields! They won't need to. Once we've run away with our tail between our legs it will be a Shiite government that will be very friendly to their neighbors Shiite Iran and Shiite Syria, and will absolutely HATE us.
Oderint dum metuant, baby :D
And no one else will really be all that amenable to helping us out in any way.

It comes from being an islamofascicommunonazipinkoliberallesbohateamericanfirster who's too busy indoctrinating our youth in the islamofascicommunonazipinkoliberallesbohateamericanfirster lifestyle to support the troops.
And because I listen to the liberal media. ;)
