Zilam's pathology report
So i got my test results back today, however Doc Dexter wasn't there to explain them to me, and google sucks at bringing back comprehensive results. So maybe someone out there understands this?
compound melanocytic nevus with architectural atypia, extending to the biopsy margins.
I'm no med specialist, but it sounded somewhat bad. Or am I wrong?
Anyways, anyone who can tell me what this means will get a million something or another. I simply can't wait until monday.
It means you have leprosy.
I know almost nothing about medicine

I've only had two weeks of dermatology so far but none of that jogs anything bad in my memory. I wouldnt worry too much until you see the doc
Edit : Just checked a pathology book and it looks normal to me

sounds like you have a tumor or growth some such that will require monitoring as the cells are not typical of cells in whatever part of the body the biopsy was taken from.
But to put your mind at ease it tends to be standard policy of doctors to give bad news face to face.

Leprosy?! oh no!!!!! -dies, and passes it on to Ifreann-

I figured it was a precursor to a tumor. And the lab report does say i need to go back and have a follow up.

A mole that should be watched.

I guess it's simply a precaution taken. Better safe than sorry approach?

Melanocytes are just the pigment producing cells in the skin
Naevi are just nests of them. Compound means its in the dermis (lower layer of the skin) and the junction (between the epidermis and the dermis)
Well, I guess it had to be removed to be analyzed. How big was it?

Then yeah, it sounds like a tumor precursor, or rather, something that could become a tumor. I had one a bit like that removed years ago. It was a bit bigger though.
