A woman offered her 4 year old son as collateral for a wedding dress. Yep. I'll pay you half, then you can hold on to my kid until I pay you the rest. Now, why the fuck would someone agree to that? Yeah lady, taking care of your snot-nosed little bastard is just as good as getting paid.

My mum did that with me when we ate out and the place only took cash, but I was 17 and she came back from the ATM 2 minutes later.

...

I'll go now.

They could sell the spawn into slavery to recoup the loss? Can you pawn children? That would be a novel idea. Get money off the babysitter and save more if you don't pick the kid up!

I love that there has to be a law for that- "felony count of sale of an individual"...

What a stupid fucking twat. I wonder whom the lucky groom was going to be- a dopey bitch with two kids already, buying her wedding gown from a street vendor.
And not having enough for it.

A recipe for disaster if ever there was one.

Argh, what's with the flood of stories this week of parents doing idiotic things to their children?

Wow, I wonder if I can do the same with my cat.

That would be a great way to get rid of my cat...

I can understand wanting to get rid of a brat, but a cat?

Poor cat :(

How do you prove that she was even being serious let alone if she actually did it?

Holy Shit- Sadly, I looked at another wonderful lesson in parenting on that same site:

This'll ruin your day.

Two more reasons I dont think having kids is a right- there should be a basic competancy exam and mental health evaluation.

In other news Maddona recently had an African orphanage line up a dozen kids so she could pick out one to adopt. She donated $3 million to the orphanage. That's got to be a record price for a little black kid.

I never wanted this cat. I never desired this cat. This cat was hoisted on me by an ex who left the country.

However, given that I now HAVE the cat, and have been put in charge of a living breathing being, I have to take care of it, as i have an extreme distaste for putting an animal in a shelter or putting it through the trauma of changing owners AGAIN, simply because i didn't want a cat.

I can live with the cat, he's even starting to grow on me, but I do occassionally fantasize of methods of getting rid of the little bastard.

It never ends-the stories are always there, its just wether or not you look.

Every damn day there are some disgraceful stories about deliberate abuse and neglect of children.

We need mandatory sterilization of people that have already proven they are defective.

It would be nice to know some of the 3 million went toward thorough medical and dental treatments of the remaining kids, as well as clothing, food vitamins and maybe some future schooling. Instead of into some corrupt administrator's pocket.

Damn-those charity things I donate to list things like .40 cents will buy bread for a kid for a month or a thousand pencils.... By that math, they could take good care of the other orphans in the orphanage from now through when they graduate from college.

Sounds like a good pay off to me. Just use the kid as a sweatshop worker, making more weddin dresses.

Send him here; we got our two other cats because the last owners didn't want them.
