Don't know if any of you guys have heard of Salvia Divinorum, but it's a plant that can make you hallucinate. And it's legal most places, because it doesn't fit into the classifications of other drugs.

The people in the link advocate the stuff, but they give you information on safe information and the history behind it's use.

So, I'm smoking some out of a pipe crudely fashioned from aluminum foil, and having a few beers, and it's a pretty nice experience. I'm at the stage where I see things but am easily able to seperate them from reality. This is marvelous, as my imagination is usually very active on account of the fact that I'm a writer, but this gives a vividness to it all. I'm also listening to instrumental music because the sounds people make with thier mouths seem annoying to me under the influence of this. It's very easy for me to see why native Americans used this stuff for spirit journeys.

There's no question or anything involved. I'm just sharing.

EDIT: Drinking Yuenling Black & Tan while smoking this stuff leaves a taste in my mouth like eating a very rare, marinated steak. Isn't that fucking awesome?

I hate the crap. Smoked a homemade extract of Salvia Divinorum leaves. Had bad trips. Almost got in my car and started driving during one of the trips. Luckily I had friends around who stopped me. You can't think straight on that crap. I've been ok with LSD and mushrooms, but salvia? Too weird. I won't ever try it again.

From what I've heard, you only get bad trips if something is annoying you, you're not in a comfortable environment, or you've had too much. Or maybe a combination of all three.

Also, I keep swearing I can see a kitten playing in the apartment out of the corner of my eye, but everytime I turn my head there's nothing there. Which is also awesome.

Perhaps. But I'm digging it, and my only other drug experiences have been with pot. I'm more of a drinking man, instead of the type to inject black tar heroin straight into my eyeball.

EDIT: I dismissed it initially because I saw this three years ago, but I tried again just to see. This time, instead of the back of my hand crawling, everything SURROUNDING the back of my hand had the crawling effect. I digged it.

shrooms > salvia, any day

Perhaps shrooms are better, but since we keep the salvia as a houseplant it has the added bonus of being free.

Tried it once, didn't have any effect on me. I shared a few grams of 10x strength with a couple of friends - it didn't affect me or one of my friends, but the other guy had a very bad trip and has now sworn off drugs for an indefinite period of time.

Salvia is awesome for a 30 second trip
I love it but its not a party drug.

Salvia is sooo over rated.

Depends on the potency. For instance, you will feel nothing at all with 5x salvia, but 21x salvia will screw with your mind.

Salvia IS overrated. Its fun yeah, but I don't think I'll ever do it again.

10x is usually to weak for most people. You need at least 17x to have a noticeable affect all, usually.
