And, assuming you could train them, what would they be? They can be any 3 animals, extinct or alive, but you must choose 3 different ones, not 2 of 1 and 1 other, or 3 of 1.
My 3:
Ratel a.k.a. honey badger
Black leopard
White tiger

I want - a Mynah bird - a Malamute - and - I really wanna Dalek. Assuming you're allowing for fictional alien cybernetic mutant lifeforms, that is. Otherwise, I'll choose a tortoise instead.
All the animals I like, I wouldn't want to train.

Assume they're already trained.
Assume they're already trained.
I wouldn't want anyone to train them. It isn't just a question of difficulty; it's one of both morals and taste.
Assuming mutual non-interference, it would be interesting to live near bears, wolves, or dolphins. And that's the best answer I can give.

1) an octopus - I've looked into octopuses as pets, and plan to get one someday. They are at least as intelligent as dogs.
2) a dog - preferably a Labrador Retriever, a Malamute, or a mixed Mal-Lab. My parents mixed Mal-Lab, Maverick, was instrumental in helping my getting over my cynophobia. He also saved my mothers life when she broke her ankle falling in the snow in the mountains where they lived in New Mexico.
3) a cat - preferably a Siamese. I've known several great Siamese cats in my life.

A margay, a domestic fox and a velociraptor.
The margay gets an enclosure. The fox gets to wander the house, after it's litter trained.
The velociraptor... well it can wander the house if it can learn to pee in a box. I'm not that scared of turkey-coyote maulings.

I'll take the animals I already have - an eagle, a timberwolf, and a mountain lion. Yes, I know that they may seem like mild-mannered animals, and I've even had people tell me I have a parakeet, a Yorkshire terrier, and a Siamese cat, but I don't like to judge by appearance.
I can't include my other animal, but I wouldn't do so anyway since she's more of a crazy old lady who likes to bite.

(I can't convince my brain that having a leopard or something as a pet would be acceptable to the leopard, so I'm stuck with the boring realistic choices. :/)

It would be cool to have one. I could just imagine myself saying "Right turn, Clyde" or "Scrap the Caddie, Clyde!" :D

Might want to reconsider the Panda. I was thinking that too, but they crap out about 90% of what they eat. And they sleep a lot.
Personally, I think that nature wants them to be extinct. Poor digestion, not inclined to reproduce (in captivity at least, but even reproduction in captivity show signs of wanting to continue ones species), sleep a lot, live in a rapidly shrinking environment and unable to adapt...

No I know that one as I've kept many reptiles for the last 11 years. BUT the OP did say IF you could train them what would you have. As I know you can't I'm not nuts enough to keep stuff like that, though I fully intend keeping venomous stuff one day. I've always wanted:
