If you're like me and are recovering from a full-on Thanksgiving feast, I hope you'll not take umbrage with this bit of seasonal well-wishing. Happy Thanksgiving.
At this time of Harvest
Let us give heartfelt thanks
To those who toil
That we might celebrate
The fruits of their labour
Here this night.

Happy Thanksgiving to you Canadians. We in the US have to wait until late November.

I think we should have it twice

I get tired of turkey and ham rather quickly.
Plus, I do all the cooking, by request.

I'm going to get dual Canadian-American citizenship one of these days so I can celebrate Thanksgiving twice a year.

You could do that without German citizenship...
Anyway, I was about to say that Thanksgiving wasn't till November, then I realized you must be a Canadian eh ;). Can't forget the friends to our north.

Meh. Our colonial heritage is part of what Thanksgiving is all about.
Okay, it's about eating copious amounts of turkey and ham, and eating turkey sandwiches for at least a week afterwards, but hey, there's some sort of colonial turkey tradition in there somewhere.
Best damn holiday ever. It's like Christmas, only you don't have to buy shit for people. Hooray!

yeah...its the first time of the season that it is available, and the last of the seasons apple cider, so we usually do a crossing over type of thing
We have alittle while longer to wait for Thanksgiving here. Look forward to digging into that turkey and having alittle punpkin pie with my whipped cream!

Happy Thanksgiving. I had pumpkin pie for the first time in my life last night, after my friends and I devoured half a turkey. Everything was delicious. What I learned:
the spirit of Thanksgiving = eating a lot of food, playing MarioKart, then eating a huge dinner, and end the night off with an awesome game of Cranium

Your Turkey Day is one step closer to Christmas than ours then.
Thanksgiving needs a mythological figure like Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. Something to frighten young children into behaving, less they not get their holiday bird and fixins'.
A giant talking turkey with a pilgrim hat comes to mind, but I'm sure there's something else... Charlie Brown already took the 'Great Pumpkin' for Halloween...
Maybe a Giant Gravy Ladle.... He leaves spots of gravy under your pillow when you lose a tooth or something...
