I had some unfortnate news from my mom, the sewing machine is broken so she won't be able to make my Deanna Troi costume. The good news is that there's plenty of time before Hallowe'en so I can come up with a new costume.

I was thinking that being a secret agent might be fun, I have this black knee-length dress and black boots, I was thinking of getting some dark sunglasses and maybe a garterbelt with a holster for a water gun or something like that. Does that sound like secret agent attire?

Most spies dress in Armani suits. Why? Because they almost always infiltrate through the upper tier of society. Or you could be like Leo DiCaprio in The Departed, and simply dress like an Irish gang-member. Either way works.

I don't imagine a secret agent would carry a water pistol, but the rest sounds pretty good.

Maybe a radio ear-piece?

I would think they would wear something that does not stand out, like normal blue jeans and a T-shirt.

Man: Suit with watch. Weapons concealed in belt/

Woman: Black dress. Weapons concealed in belt around thigh. No watch. Necklace.

a cocktail dress with slits up the side to mid-thigh length so you can still do kung fu. and a garter holster of course. and hairpins that are weapons. and a broach that fires lazers or takes pictures or something. and an earpiece.

find yourself a really cool vintage look compact (or just a plastic one and glue on stuff to make it pretty) and at weird times during the evening pull it out and pretend to check your makeup, but actually speak into it like you are talking to someone

OoOoOo... that's a good idea, although much of the time I'll be wearing this to school, I don't really have a party lined up to attend yet.

Oh, and as for the water gun thing... it wouldn't be fun to just carry a plastic gun shaped thing that doesn't do anything, if I buy a small water pistol and paint it black or silver, then I can still shoot people but look like I've got a real gun.

that's a good idea... or press your finger to your ear, like you're wearing an ear peice. like one of those single earphones nubs you can get for pennies...

won't matter... a black trench coat may work... especially if the dress with the low cleavage contrasts your natural skin color... a black frame for the eye catching sight!

If I were a secret agent, I would wear a large, blinking sign that said "I AM A SEKRIT AJENT" (sic). It would be the perfect disguise, though you'd have to include the misspelling to complete the effect.
Think about it, no one would take me seriously, they'd all just say "Yeah, you and what army, buddy", and I would say "That retort made no sense." Then . . . then I would go get something else to drink because this bottle is empty.

If you want to look like an american spy you need a suit from J Press, or one from Brooks Brothers that looks like it's from J Press.

Wear a trenchcoat and get an old hat that is too big, and wear it down over your eyes and cut out eye holes. Be secret squirrel.

Most women use Halloween as an excuse to DELIBERATELY dress like sluts (not that I mind :D ). It's good (for the interests for sexism (not mine)) to hear a break in the tedium (of course, the tedium isn't bad... :D ).
