I don't think you're very far off, really.

I was watching a recording of Neil Peart on Politically Incorrect (from 1994) yesterday, and Bill did his classic cut-off routine.

He stated that television was a stain on the culture of our country, and that people should only read books. He also said that if there's a film adaption of a book, people shouldn't see it; instead, they should read the original material.

Peart bit at it.

"So, you're saying that people shouldn't see Shakespeare's plays, and they should only read his manuscripts?"

Maher: "What... What are you trying to say?"

Neil: "Well, I'm ---"

And that's where Bill cut him off, because he clearly put himself in a corner. It was funny, sad, and infuriating at the same time. I could link it if you want.

Also available as a transcript here (http://www.montypythonpages.com/fuck.htm).

Anyway, enjoy - and fuck you! :fluffle:

[Yes, I have now seen that Londim's 3rd post in this thread links to another flash animation with the same content. Meh. Fuck it!]

(Oh yeah, the German word referred to is either "fuchsen", "fucken", or "ficken": "fucken" means "to quickly run to and fro", or "to rub"; "fuchsen" "to wildly run to and fro in an agitated manner"; and, last but not least, there's the connection to "ficken" (= fuck nowadays) which means "to briskly drive to and fro", "to strike", or "to whip/lash/flog". http://www.etymologie.info/~e/d_/de-tiere_.html -> fuchsteufelswild )
