Little overzealous on the dog killing, eh China?

We've all heard about the "rabies" outbreak in China. We've all heard about the death of 50,000 dogs to stop it. Doesn't it seem that China is going a little too far to stop this "rabies" outbreak? And don't they seem to be publicizing it, or welcome publiciziation of it a little too much? Doesn't it seem just a bit like a.... Cover-up?

Tell us China, what IS the outbreak really? I'm sure your not-so-free-press could tell us, so why don't you, Big Brother? Tell us what is REALLY happening in China? Perhaps a... Solanum outbreak?

Yes, I am theorizing that the so called "rabies" outbreak in China isn't a "rabies" outbreak after all. It is, in fact, an outbreak of Solanum, otherwise known as the zombie virus.

I'm sure more than just I have read World War Z, even though it only came out a few days weeks ago. Didn't the outbreak start in China? Didn't China call it a new strand of "rabies"? Didn't China do everything possible to make it look like they were taking care of it?

To put it simply, I'm recommending every Solanum-fearing-man to start stocking up, as it looks like the big one is brewing.

I'm hoping this was comic.

However, I would point out that China shouldn't be expected to treat it's dogs better than it's citizens, so killing them by the thousands isn't too unusual for them.

It's not. Let's also point out the "ecoli" outbreak here in America.

EDIT: I meant it wasn't comic. The dog killing by the thousands is unusual.

You're not making any sense. If it can't infect animals, why would China kill 000's of dogs to cover up an outbreak?

China's just paranoid. After the SARs fiasco (and bird flu), they're tending to over-react now to any and every outbreak.

Easy. Rabies is easiestly transferable through dogs. If the outbreak is supposed to be "rabies", why not kill 50,000 dogs to make it seem like it actually is rabies? If you know China, you know they'd go to desperate measures to cover something up. They probably want to isolate a few and study the virus, eventually making it into a bioweapon. The totalitarian bastards. If they had free press we'd be hearing actual reports of this "rabies" outbreak every minute. But because China is so totalitarian, we won't hear about it until it's too late. Until the infected have gotten on planes and gone to every corner of the planet. Until they've escaped China and spread to the middle east, Russia, and other Asian countries. Until they get onto boats and head to Indonesia, Polynesia, Japan, and Australia. Until it is far too god damned late.

I'd just like to point out that everyone knows animals CANNOT be infected by Solanum-- it just poisons them. Only HUMANS become Zombies, as Max Brooks, author of the Zombie Survival Guide, has stated.

So if you recognize that Solanum cannot infect animals, how could killing 50,000 be "a coverup" for zombie virus?

Actually, dogs have been zombified in labs. (They killed the dogs, drained their blood, replaced it with saline, gave the dog a jolt of electricity, and it was reanimated.)

I know, I'm just saying that China might be using "rabies" as an excuse and are killing the dogs, even if they aren't infected with Solanum (which, as previously stated, is impossible), just to make the "rabies" excuse seem more plausible.

Or maybe they have a rabies outbreak and every unvaccinated dog is being killed as a precaution? (Occam's Razor).
I thought I'd seen conspiracy theories taken too far before; I was sadly mistaken.

Yes, but as a Solanum infected, flesh eating, ravage zombie? In fact, take out the Solanum part. Was it?

I heard about that myself.

A tomato virus is killing people?
Damn, that explains why my Tomato crop is dead.

#BUZZ# Sorry the Correct answer was "What is Cryogentics"

The dogs hearts were basicly shut off, there blood was removed, replaced with a non freezing saline solution and frozen for days. Days later they took the dogs, slowly warmed them back up, replaced the blood, then restarted their heart with an electrical pulse. Dogs were fine, didn't even seem to know that they had been "dead."

Damn thing was named in the 19th century. Until we find a more appropriate name for it, we're using Solanum.

And to answer Kat: If a "rabies" outbreak is happening, what do you do? Kill infected humans and say they're infected while spreading that information through the whole world to make it seem like a rabies outbreak, or kill "infected" dogs, whom can carry rabies much easier than humans and advertise that throughout the world and say they're dealing with a rabies outbreak?

Filthy? Dogs bathe themselves more often then your average human and the inside of their mouths are supposed to be much cleaner than that of a human.
