I've recently had a severe cold, but as the initial symptoms cleared up, it seems to have moved into my head and now the pressure building in my sinuses is killing me. I've not slept well for a few days, and I intend on seeing a doctor tomorrow for some antibiotics. However, the pressure under and behind my eyes is killing me, and no amount of nasal flushing is doing any good. It's got to the point that breathing too deeply makes my face feel like it's about to explode. So, any tips for some relief from the pressure so I can have a decent night's sleep before seeing the doctor?

I use wasabi. The burn is good. Bring kleenex.

A friend recently told me that soaking in a hot bath with cayanne pepper (red pepper), ginger, and epsom salts helps.

I use the hollistic remedy of inverting ones self on the couch so that my head is completely inverted, and then proceed to snort and snork like a mad hog.
You'd be surprised at how much crap can come out of your Head.
Ouch! dont get Cayenne in your eyes, or nose though!!

I use Sudafed and a Vicks steam vapor. Might work for you.
