I was reading the transcript of that yesterday and that's perhaps the only time I've agreed with anything those two have said.
It's a terribly sad, nasty world she lives in, isn't it?

It occurs to me that we're going to have to avoid even the most innocent use of the word "page" for a while. For instance, no one will be wanting to "take a page out" of anyone else's book, or at least not in public. :p

I don't know what's uglier--her mug or her beliefs.
At least she and her fellow idiots didn't show up to desecrate those poor girls' funerals. (Props to Mike Gallegher for arranging that.)

True. And the fact that she and the WBC traded air-time for the opportunity to do an on-site revelation of the Gospel message that Pennsylvania is being punished because the governor said mean things about the WBC, just shows what media-whores they really are.

yes mega props to Gallagher for working out a deal to stop those nuts from showing up at the Amish funerals. Then again, the Amish probably would have handled themselves pretty well even if the protesters did show up. Giving those media whores 1 hour of broadcast time almost seems like working a deal with the devil and encouraging them to get more fanatic.
and the ACLU ofcourse, supports them and is fighting for them.
with alot of their protests containing anti-gay rhetoric, I am surprised they have not shown up on Capitol Hill after the whole Foley scandal became public. That is odd don't you think?

One thing I found a tad ironic about the interview was Hannity's umbrage and his repeating of how the parents would feel seeing Ms BatshitInsane on TV telling them their children deserved to die.
Does Hannity not know that the Amish don't have TVs?
Of course, you realise that her coming onto the program is FOX's attempt at balance. Because Hannity is against her, it 'logically' follows that she's a liberal. Thus FOX has balance in it's opinion shows.

The problem is that they come off looking just as much like assholes as she does. This is at least the second time she's been on Fox and the commentator has gone off on her and started insulting her - with her just smiling about it the whole time as if they have proven her right.

This "religous" group has been attacked by many and trust me, those attacking them are simply echoing the sentiments of the majority of people watching no matter their political or religous leanings.
But I do agree that cooler heads do prevail. I say just sit back, control the emotions and let them do the talking, occasionally presenting a counter point. These people will make themselves look like monsters more effectively than anyone else can.

In her mind, they have. Which is why it's pointless arguing with religious fanatics such as her. No matter what you say to them, it just proves their point.
TBH, I felt she came off the interview pretty well. It was Hannity who ended up looking like an idiot. He tried his best to get her angry (which is pathetic journalism anyway) and ended up getting angry himself when she didn't rise to his bait and so he resorted/descended to just insulting her by the end.
Pathetic interviewing by a talentless hack.

No, she's not a "liberal". I'd say she's someone who has taken basic ideas often found on the right and mutated them into something far beyond the boundaries of any respectable conservative philosophy. For example, one can oppose homosexuality on moral (or even biological) grounds without shouting "God hates fags" at a military funeral.
WBC is a disgrace to Christianity and Hannity, not to mention Colms, is right to denounce them. Sometimes conservatives and liberals actually agree on an issue. Shocking, I know, but there it is ;)

Much as I hate her, Hannity isn't scoring any points by playing the moral emotional card either.

I loved that part too. Especially because it's the part that's true.
Honestly, I thought they were a bit hard on her. She's an idiot, yes, but that's no reason to rail on her. Just point out the error of her ways and let the viewers see her insanity and stupidity for themselves. It's not like it ain't obvious.

It wouldn't shut her up, but for those out there who are easily swayed, maybe it would have some kind of effect. Her argument makes sense in a very twisted way, especially with her flawed logic. Pointing out those inconsistancies would make for a much better interview instead of calling her a soulless idiot

They tried to argue that the Tsunami in Indonesia was retribution by God on...wait for it... Sweden! Yes, that since the swedish apparently like to vacation there, God created the tsunami and killed tens of thousands of people to get a couple hundred swedish tourists. Because they have some gay legislators in their government.
