Thank You NSG

I would just like to thank all the great debaters on NSG for teaching me the art of internet debate. I will probably never be able to win an argument here, but in the other forums I post in, I am now able to rationally argue my points of view. Furthermore, it's just enjoyable. So thanks you all.

You're welcome. :)

NOTE: Even though I can't recall the last major debate I was involved in, I do claim all responsibility for your edification. You can expect a bill shortly.

So...we showed you exactly how not to debate, and you extrapolated the good way to debate from that?

If I had anything to do with that, you are certainly welcome. He’s right, though. Other forums are just way too easy once you’ve braved NSG.

Heh. I find that the highest quality of debate on any site I've been on is in the UN forum when the regulars get going at each other.

That said, General does move fast, which requires you to think fast. And you'll develop a reasonably thick skin if you stick with it. Sadly, the use of logic in NSG is only so-so, and the average age/education of the posters doesn't exactly help matters. Though on occasion I'll see a really good debate here, the poster demographics of NSG aren't really made for any sort of uber-debate experience.

Question, NSG is...?
Are you asking what I think you're asking?

NSG = NationStates General, the forum you've posted, oh... 92 times on. :p

EDIT: Well, to be fair, you have posted overwhelmingly in the International Incidents forum. But still, you can't blame us for having a laugh at your expense...

I don't know if this is the best place to learn how to debate, but if it's helped you, great.

More important than knowing how to debate, however, is knowing how to think, and there NSG is even less useful.

Compared to most forums on the internet with "serious discussion" areas, NSG is a Debater Paradise.

Yep. Doesn't say much for the internet, does it?
