I stumbled across this piece of putrid garbage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnic_Cleansing_%28computer_game%29) while browsing through wikipedia, and literally became physically ill. Should shit like this be banned? Poll coming.

They certainly shouldn't be banned, but they also shouldn't be made in the first place. That's tastelessness of the first order, and if I ever meet the fellow who made that game I'll give 'im what he deserves.

If I'm lucky, he'll probably call me a race traitor. That would be awesome.

Sounds like fun, I mean, it's not like games have to be politically correct to be good, or that playing a game will turn you into a violent racist member of the KKK. Personally, I loved shooting Mexican soldiers in Ghost Recon, made even better because I could eavesdrop on their conversations and knew what they were doing.

Funnily, the minimal game requirements don't say you have to be white to play, so maybe I'll order it.

If you ban any game period for these or similar reasons that just opens the flood gate for more bannings on games that are not so bad. If this game is on a 9 on a 1 - 10 scale of tastelessness (sp?). Then what happens when an 8 is on debate for banning. Well it just a little better, but its still bad. Then ban it. Then a 7. Well 8 got banned this isnt as bad but it is pretty bad. Ban it.

So on and so forth.

Freedom is a double-edged sword. Even though I detest what this game represents, banning it would open a Pandora's box leading to the ability to ban pretty much anything really. Let the game be made, it will not affect me in the slightest and then no one can ban a game I might want to play, but someone else disagrees with.

No, shit like this should not be banned. Freedom of speech means freedom of speech for ideas that we hate, not just ideas we agree with. There are a number of excellent SCOTUS precedents for this, made for excellent reasons, and if you need to know them go and google for them.

Now that that is out of the way, you yourself have just unintentionally given this racist computer game more popularity. If you really hate things that you find on the internet like this, you should simply leave it alone and don't make threads about it. But instead, you have raised awareness of this game, thus inciting more people to buy it.

GTA is much worst than this, and I don't think it should be banned.
However, parents should be careful on letting their kids play these games.
Some kids are more easily influenced than others, unless your kid doesn't have a rather good grasp on reality, you really should just give him/her pac-man.

If some person is that easily convinced to hurt or kill someone based on this video game. Even if it was banned, something else would have pushed this person over. Is it that much worse if you play a game like DOA (dead or alive) and then just run up to some old lady and give em a round house kick to the face? Would you want that to be banned? the best weapon we have against shit like this is to ignore it, stop drawing attention to it and it will wither and die. publicising how disgusting it is on a public forum and campaigning to get it censored gives it free advertising. in all likelyhood the nazis on this forum, be they trolls or lurkers, had never heard of this game before now. the game gained a few fans through this thread, i will post no further. although i suspect in the time it has taken for six odd pages to build up all the nazis on here have found it already. oh well.
