I was watching Good Morning America last week and that lady who runs Jesus camp was on.. She said that Disney was the most evil anti-christ out there.

No, I dont have a link, but I have an idea!

*pulls hanging microphone to mouth*

In this corner, the man with the magical wand, he cleaned a castle, conquered Orlando, HE IS MICKEY MOUSE!!

*crowd goes wild*

And in this corner, the man that won't die, he changed a world, RAISE THE ROOF FOR... JEEEEEEEEESUS!

*crowd swings palms in praise*

Disney will produce a movie through an affiliate that smears non-christians for failing to prevent September 11th, and then attempt to get schools to use it as educational material.

The sorts of people who think Christianity in the US is under attack?

She's terrifying. I want to know what all those little Manchurian Candidates of hers are going to do when Bush isn't president anymore and they have to start crying and yelling "This means war!" over someone else's picture.

What does Disney have to do to get some fundy love? I mean, they dropped a load on that Narnia POS, and they licked Bush's ass with the whole Path to 9/11 thing. They carry the 700 Club on their "family" network for fuck's sake. What's a network got to do?

meh, I don't really care. I take the movies on a movie by movie basis, I watch them before my kids do, but I do that with all the movies they watch.

I see a LOT of stuff that the more conservative friends I have would have issue with.

Do you blame the kids? Which is more appealing to you - a friendly cartoon mouse, or a 2000 year old zombie who claims to be the son of God?

Why cant we have both?

Why not a 2000 year old zombie mouse that claims to be the son of God?

Reclaim Florida from who?

Anyway, they probably wouldn't. If a religion has been around for long enough, people don't care what it's based on. Though it would make theological debate a lot more interesting.

Im not so sure.

I think if Christianity were any siller, the more normal of the lot would have a hard time taking it seriously.
I would like to think that the current trend in radicalism is a hot ember, and is about to burn itself out.
The question remains, "How much damage will it do, before it does?"

I don't think it can get sillier. It lost any credibility it had once it had split into more than two Churches. If Mickey Mouse managed to unite all Christians under one Church, that would be a massive boost to its credibility. Although it would mean that people would start calling it the Mickey Mouse Church...

examples of what my uber-conservative crazy people I know find wrong with Disney?

sure.

this (http://www.religioustolerance.org/disney4.htm)pretty much sums up the whole boycott (which I didn't participate in because I thought they were idiots)

but now that the boycott is over, I still know a few people that have major problems with Disney movies, they are insane though...... I think.

I am trying to remember all of them...

Ariel isn't fully clothed
Cinderella disobeys her stepmother
Sleeping Beauty disobeys her father
Snow White lives with men whom she isn't married to

then there are the non-animated movies by sister companies (like Dogma which I love) and the other company Disney owns that makes porn.

I couldn't care less.

(wanted to put that in bold so that people know that I am not arguing this)

but I thought if you guys were confused you might want to know what's up with the crazies.

oh, and I get this (http://www.nisbett.com/child-ent/truth_about_disney.htm)website emailed to me just about weekly.....because we have about 75 Disney movies and are headed to Disney World for vacation next winter.
