The Return of the Pancake

Hi guys! After several days of not being able to use the computer, I'm back! I've been busyt with marching band- I had a homecoming game, a competition, and some sort of Excursion Day event this weekend... wow.

I have to say that the homecoming SUCKED. No I didn't mess up at halftime, though I had to stand still for twenty minutes as they called down all the homecoming idiots and the floats. And the the show after the game SUCKED, because even though I was finally in step for the whole show, I fell down. TWICE. IN THE SAME SONG. :( My leg still hurts.

Yesterday was the competition at a high school about 30 minutes away in Virginia. I didn't slip and WE WON FIRST PLACE!!! If you were at Hickory High that day and stayed around for the Class AAA awards, you know which school I go to :) (but don't say it, I don't want people stalking me )

Today was the standstill performance... it was good... uneventful, though one drum major got upset but I think that's because his girlfriend broke up with him (a junior drum major dating a freshman color guard...)

Well, I can't promise I'll be around all the time like I'm used to doing... but I'll miss you guys... I kept thinking about NSG after every performance... gosh... it feels great to be back, even if only for a short while :)

Good job on winning! :)
And no one cares? :(
Don't worry about it. I've only gotten one comment pertaining to my cartoon; the others are all making fun of me...

There were too many words for me to read it all, even when I attempted my "Double Speed, Valley Girl Falsetto", and that manages to get me through near anything I find on the internets.

*fondly remembers all of my memories of high school band...then starts to remember the more negative memories, then the most embarassing memory of all. At the homecoming game. Fortunately the rain came to save me from total ignonimity that night. Yay for rain!*

I remember being in the band on homecoming night! I loved it at the time, but looking back, I'm glad I won't be with them this Friday. Congrats on the first place. That's what I miss about marching band: band festivals. And regular haltime shows, though a little less.
