Do you think her hat fell off or someone took it off?

It looks like someone took it off, trying to help.

I'm no doctor, but I'd say someone threw a javelin at her foot.

err... considering that she was an official (notice the clipboard)... would it be her fault for not running away from the hurled javalin... or the throwers fault for hitting her?

Well, I imagine by the time she tried to run, she could only go in circles. ;)

Look how well her foot cleaned the javelin. It's so muddy above her shoe.

The poor woman.

In other words, someone has very bad aim or they did not care for the particular judging coming from that person... ;)

A deliberate murder with a javelin at the Brazil Trophy would have made a spiffink Columbo episode.

Which would, of course, imply spectacular aim. ;)

Would probably make a great Monk episode too. :D

You're wrong.

Let us compare DVD covers:

Columbo (http://www.popentertainment.com/columbo.jpg)

As we see, Columbo is better.

What would be great is to have Monk and Columbo as partners on a case. That would be awsome.

I'm not judging it. I'm dismissing it because Columbo is in the house. In full force.

ayie! definitely don't want that happening to me. a guy in my dad's class when he was at school got a javelin through his shoulder but that was the guy's own fault for running into it. he was lucky he didn't die.

Blasphemy! Monk could solve anything and do it in a very entertaining way. Won't die of lung cancer either so will continue solving cases after Columbo drops dead.

He/she must have thrown it incredibly hard to impale through someones foot... It doesn't appear to be a particularly sharp javelin. It must have either been like stabbed into her foot from right next to her, or have been thrown really hard.
