Just really asking for my 12yr old nephew's h/w. What's your favourite deacde and why? I love this one, actually, because I'm a bit of a computer person, and a technology lover. Whereas, my mother loved the 50s, and tried to make them extend all the way into the 90s, when she died. Thats right, full skirts, black and white TV, High Society and Country Girl, and funny hairdos. I never brought my firends home.

The 1980s were great. It was lots of fun to be a kid in that decade.

I was a kid then as well. However, to my family, the 80s didn't exist. Aargh! I missed out on so much.:headbang:

90s. The economy was booming, we weren't at war, there were advances in everything, it was great time to grow up.

I didn't like the 90s. Those horrid big glasses - and all those short shorts on disgusting men. And no-one had heard of Luxembourg then - and the EC. and Windows 98 *shudders*

90's for the music and most of all the clubs

Damn 00’s ruining the British clubbing scene! (I admit there wasn't much of one but still...)

I am looking forward to the 2040's. I will be in my 80's at that point, and am excited to see every day how sci-fi is becoming reality. I wonder where we will be then? :D

what do you mean by favorite?

I don't know, I guess, I don't really ever think about it.

However, my kitchen is decorated in the 50's style and I really think it's cool. I am working on going art deco with the rest of the house.......

but other than that? I don't really care, I haven't been around for many decades, just you know the 80's and the 90's

it really annoys me that the 80's styles are in this fall, I hated those clothes.

oh, and yeah I do own a poodle skirt.....and I wear it, a LOT.

I've never had a special affinity for the 90s and the fads of the time. I'd much rather be a teenager in the 60s - the time of the British Invasion and Sexual Revolution . :D

I'd say 90s, internet, good technology to be had, great economy and no facists in the Whitehouse, just a slut.

I liked the 0's.

Ah, back in the day when we were all particulates of matter spread across billions of billions of miles in a newly born universe.

Now that was freedom! Of course, not existing put a damper on things a bit, but people then were harder. Not like today, when kids whine because they have to take the bus to school.

Why, I remember when I floated 15 light-years through an ion storm just to get to earth!

wish i had been old enough and brave enough for the late 80s/early 90s rave scene but apart from that i wish i could have experienced first hand the 30s with the fun dancing, fun music and art deco style as long as i didn't have to experience the depression.

I'm going with the Roaoring 20s. Great fashion, classy, love the hats. It seems like it would have been a very interesting time to live. Lindbergh, Chaplin, Houdini and Garbo. And don't forget the jazz. Go Satchmo!

The 1990's.

Our biggest political concern was the fact that the Prez got a blowjob from an intern.

The Soviet Union had just collapsed and we'd just won the Cold War. Not to mention the fact we were riding high on the victory in Desert Storm as well.

Dot-com boom! Without the dreadful pain of the crash.

Mountain Dew had a better logo.

1990s baby! Back when everything was good in the USA. No major war, the stock market was good, music didn't suck, and the list flows on and on.....

I was really hoping you'd come back and read my answer - I didn't really want to give the wrong impression.:)

As ever, the 60s. I'd have some likeminded individuals around. And the law wasn't so up on drugs.
