Game Over...?
Okay, the Bolol is getting worried. This is the second thread that I have put up within two days up concerning a current issue, which I have never done before. In this case, the Habeas Corpus Legislation that has recently been passed.
Everyone seems to be going on about the destruction of the Union, a police state, civil war.
Obviously this is a very bleak outlook.
So now I present you with an even more clear poll; a positive, and a negative. Please go ahead and speak your mind.
And why not try to assuage my fears while you're at it...?

The Death of Liberty
"Give me Liberty or give me death," Was the rally cry,
The meaning it implied united a people,
A people who arose,
A people who suceeded,
On the day of 1776, Liberty was born
For many years the name of Liberty thrived,
Then one day on a horrible act Liberty was wounded.
When an act of pure evil struck the nation's heart.
There are always those who prey on disaster.
While Liberty was wounded afraid of those Bastards
The evil men snuck up and stabbed it in the back.
"To protect the people, Liberty must be sent away"
"We like our Liberty, why must it go?" many shouted in fear.
"It's the terrorists fault vote for us some more"
Meekly they did, yet nothing was done.
The evil men were happy, money was to be won.
Soon some will demand "Why can't you see reason?"
The evil men will reply"You are speaking Treason!"
"Away you shall go and away you shall stay."
"Have fun living in Gutamauo Bay!"
In the end there was silence, no one spoke up.
And in the silence... Liberty cried on it's last breath...

That was beautiful.
Habeus Corpus=A good right to have, a poor right to lose, and in 99 44/100%
of the time it is used in vain desperation and not for genuine cause. In most cases where there would be genuine cause the prisoner is not granted the ability to use H.C.

Talk about a wonderful ad campaign in the making. This--if you don't mind my saying so--is beautiful, touching...and absolutely perfect for use in preventing that which it describes.

Thanks. I'm very rarely a poet, I was just going to find something to quote on it, but nothing would have fit. I just had to say something.
But yeah this is something that would make a part of an good campaign.

There is nothing positive about this. The only positive that can come about is that the Civil War will be short and swift with the mass populace rising to fast for the Government to fight back. Then we will have to rebuild a new Government.

LMAO...do you think it's easier than immigrating to Canada? :p

No thanks, Posi. The last time that a large number of Americans immigrated to Mexico, the US ended up annexing about a third of the damned country and we've had Texas hanging around ever since.

Hahahaha...
I'm still wondering whether it's a good thing we have Texas or not. Remember, we also gained California, New Mexico, and Arizona in the dealie, and those WERE good, despite the annoyance of Texas. (And we can't forget Texan oil. Helped us out in a few tight spots, I would imagine. More than we realize, anyway.)

I shall selflessly take on that burden.

Hmm, if the US retro-actively secedes Texas back to Mexico, it would mean GW Bush wasnt born in the US and can't be president ;)
