Arm or leg?

If you had to lose either an arm or a leg for whatever circumstances there may be, which would you rather lose?

I'm going have to say I'd rather lose an arm, because then I can get an robotic arm and in my nerdiness, think myself to be about as badass as Anakin Skywalker with his robotic arm :D

Plus, I just like my legs. Nice and pretty :p

Arm, dude. You can do plenty with one arm, but one leg means like, wheel-chair-age.

Leg.

Leg prosthetics are easier to do than arm prosthetics. Less complex motion, easier to mimic.

I'd rather lose a leg. I could still play guitar (and computer games ;)) at least.

Depends. How much will SSDI pay me for the loss of an arm compared with the loss of a leg? Might as well make some cash off of the amputation.

I would rather lose a leg for the simple reason, that All I need to do with my prosthetic leg is walk. I have seen alot of people with prosthetic legs who can walk fairly well.

Prosthetic hand is little more than useless even the most sophisticated prosthetic hand on the market is little more then a open and close motion. I guess the big reason is I could still would not be able to work on computers and play video games with just one hand, it would be too anoying to have to type with the posthetic hand, you'd have to poke each button individualy with your index finger instead of being able to quickly type using all your fingers.

SDI?

Sorry, SSDI Social Security Disability Insurance.

Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) is wage replacement income for those who pay FICA taxes when they have a disability meeting Social Security disability rules. SSDI provides a variety of benefits to family members when a primary wage earner in the family becomes disabled or dies. SSDI is financed with Social Security taxes paid by workers, employers, and self-employed persons. SSDI benefits are payable to disabled workers, widows, widowers, and children or adults disabled since childhood who are otherwise eligible.

You didn't specify whether the leg was below the knee or above, but I'd much rather have both hands than both feet. I mean, can you imagine posting on NSG with only one hand?

Leg.

Although, I've heard when you masturbate with a prosthetic arm it feels like someone else is doing it.

I'd rather lose a leg than an arm. Artificial legs are way better than artificial arms and hands at the moment.
You can even walk stairs and run with the new ones, whereas artificial arms and hands still leave a lot to be desired.

You've got me. I'm actually a satellite launched in the 1980s under the strategic defense initiative. Lately I've gotten bored orbiting the earth, so I've tapped into the internet to access NS General.

A leg, no question about it. Although a robotic arm would be awesome, I just have more use for my hands that my legs. If anything, losing a leg would give me an excuse to not be involved in any kinds of sports, and if the leg was cut below the knee, I don't think it would even bother me much anyway.

A leg, most of the time everything below chest height is just dead weight I have to haul around anyway.
It'd also give me an excuse to get a peg leg, and wandered around growling at people and shooting whales in the face.

Hell, I can.

And I'd rather not lose the only arm I have, now would I? :p

The leg. The guy with a peg leg at the party is the fun guy who can show off his peg leg. The guy missing an arm is just that creepy guy who can't drive anywhere or open his own beers.

I would lose my leg because I would not want to risk losing my right arm. Do you know how hard it is to masterbate with your left hand?:p
