Pssh. That's nothin'. Here in teh ghetto, we have gang-related violence on campus ALL the time.
EDIT: That includes guns being used.

Let's see... my first day at middle school, a kid got stabbed in the face with a pair of scissors.
Two years ago, a bunch of kids were arrested for having guns and knives in their lockers.
Last year, around 15 kids were arrested after fighting in the parking lot, for assault, gang activity, and possession of switchblades and firearms.
EDIT: That's not to mention the standard fist fighting, and the fact that white boys have to defend themselves a lot from the black kids...

a kid in my year brought a razor blade to school once and threatened to kill another kid in my year but they were both dickheads so no-one really cared. apart from that just the usual xenophobic and racist gang violence.

I once drew blood in self-defense when some idiotic random stereotypical African American (trying to be as least racist as possible) came up and started spewing idiotic random stereotypical African American gibber-jabber. I actually was planning to just walk away, but then he punched me. No one touches me without my permission. I grabbed my compass holder, yes my compass holder, and sunk it into his arm. It actually became lodged in it. I was considered in the right since he sent the first blow. I swear, I can kill someone with those compass holders. The great thing is that I bought it from my Geometry teacher.
Some kid hit another kid-on purpose-with his De Lorean last year.
Guess he was trying to go Back to the Future?
Other than that, no guns or knives or anything. Just fistfights and brawls. Most of the kids around my school can't throw a fist for beans, though.

i once got in a whole heap of shit for stabbing someone with a compass. but it was me that lashed out first so that's why. they were tormenting me for ages is my only defence. narrowly missed their spine (they turned away as i swung, it wasn't like i went for them from behind).

Well we had a bomb threat on the floor I was on yesterday, meaning a letter saying there was a bomb, of course campus security didn't wan't that geting out so they didn't evacuate the building or or really do anything to let people know what was going on. Only reason I found out was that one of my profesors was the one to call them and told teh class what was going on when they asked what all the cops were doing in the bathroom.

A lack of razor blades and stabbings is one of the advantages of going to a school dedicated to nerds. But there are always a ton of muggings and slashings that go around my school for gang-initiation stuff from the kids in harlem.
Almost all public high schools (or so it seems) in this fair city I live in have metal detactors for everyone who enters, drasticaly lowering the amount of possible weapons people bring to school with them. See our tax dollars go to the freedom for students to waste hours in line just to get into their schools.
Oh, let's not forget I sent the compass through his left arm muscle, past the bone, and straight out the other side. By out the otherside I mean it penetrated the other side of the arm, didn't go all the way out. Needless to say my compass was kind of... Useless after that. Soon as I did that he didn't exactly have much to say. Didn't realize how much damage I did 'till I got the medical report.
Oh, and let's also not forget I was known as "Mr. Psycho" for the following period of time.

My school is tame, by comparison. Some hispanic and african american groups have formed gangs, but they just graffiti stuff and screw around. We had a major drug bust 2 years ago, and some guy with a pellet gun went around breaking car windows and got arrested.
I know, fucking boring.

Hah! Lets see, what happened at my school... oh yeah, it was MAJOR news here when a year 10 kid organised a fight with a year 9 kid coz the year 9 insulted his sister (or some such)... about 20 kids rocked up to Fed square (big public place) and formed a circle round them till the two kids reluctantly had their fight... now none of us kids are allowed to "loiter" around the station there in school uniform, the police can ask us to leave, or take our name down and pass it on to the school, who will give us an immediate detention.
Apparently though, according to one of my teachers, something like this happened in the 70's and they were so pissed that no one from our school was allowed into the CBD, not in school uniform anyway, on ANY business other than school.
Oh yes, we're extreme here.
The closest thing to violence except for that was when we took some guys calculator, and he threw the ruler at us.
It gets dull sometimes, but I suppose its better than the alternative.

Hmm... well, I got my jaw broken in seventh grade once. Does that count?
A dropout from my high school raped a woman, sodomized her with a cucumber, and then stole her car, drove it off the road, and lit it on fire. And no, I'm not making any of that up either.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and my school was involved in a 200+ person brawl with our rival school, which took over a dozen police officers and two campus security guards to break up.

While I was still there, some kid brought a knife to school. Dean Jackson handled the situation tho :cool:

Oh, and senior year we had a pyro who kept setting fires in the trashcan of the men's room on the 2nd floor. :headbang:
